Bush's no longer president. he's now an Average Joe living in Texas. Pelosi is currently Speaker of the House and she's still flapping her gum when she needs to stfu and resign.

I read Pelosi's speech and don't have any problem with it. I also read the headlines about her and feel she is being unjustifiably attacked.

What Pelosi knew or not doesn´t matter but mainly important is WHO authorize torture and WHO torture victims, should be prosecuted, period. As far as I know that Pelosi did not torture anyone.

Yes, I agree that Pelosi made herself fool... I would answer when I were Pelosi "Yes I know but it´s not my position to stop Bush Admin´s decision for use torture method".

To thread creator, I´m sorry to say that the title of thread, you create make no sense. They should focus on people who authorize the torture and torture the victims because it´s crime what they did but Pelosi? :lol:

Accord News TV, Pelosi said that she only criticized the Bush Admin., not the bureaucrats at the CIA. What Pelosi pointed out about Bush Admin. and torture issues is correctly.

at first - her speech excited me. now it's all talk. what disgusted me is she playing it safe with Bush Administration.

her position is to criticize it and to be outspoken about it. instead - she quietly played along with it and then criticize it when it's convenient for her.

I'm surprised. Haven't you been following news? Didn't you read that Nancy denied about being informed of enhanced interrogation techniques? That's for starter. There are plenty more since day 1 of her job.

You got any proof that she was given all of the information that is now coming to light through the memos that are just now being released?

She is saying that she based her reaction on information provided by the CIA that was incomplete and purposely deceptive. If you have proof that anything else is the case, I'd be interested in seeing it.

I´m total surprise over your comment here. You denied that Bush and his people authorize the form of torture method in several threads. You are doing to defend Bush and his people. Now you are upset over Nancy. Do you beleive that Nancy is only one who know about torture issues? Why can´t they question Nancy´s colleagues, not just Nancy?

What Cheney/Bush admin. did is the worst is LIE their people that Saddam Hussein connect with Al Qaeda and 9/11, WMD etc but Nancy? :roll:.

no..... no...... no...... no.......... :nono: You misunderstood my action and my stance. They did question Nancy's colleague especially her top aide. What you think how did the whole thing backfired at Pelosi? Investigation (which was demanded by Obama) has uncovered that Pelosi was involved - a direct contradiction to her denial of her involvement. Who knows what will the investigation uncover? This is why Obama needs to move on and fix the mess, not turn over every rock and see what's underneath because it will undoubtedly stain his Administration.
