How come>> DVD Error!

I got DVD Movie from friend...


I put DVD disc in DVD machine but its said error. and " No Region" ???:shrug:


I put DVD Disc in my computer and its working! :)
 
your DVD player is region locked. ;)

Think of it similar to electric plugs in different parts of the world. Here in USA we have the standard 2 prong.

Now your friend gave you a device with a different socket (think of it as the DVD) into it. Like this UK electric socket.

Won't work, because your player is locked to USA (Region 1) dvds.

You have to unlock your dvd player or buy a new one that isn't locked to region 1 (USA). Here for more info > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code
Or you can use your PC because it plays all regions!

Sometimes, it's possible to unlock your DVD player.

My portable DVD player can be unlocked, but the method isn't publicly known. I had to look it up.

I think that you have older DVD player which is single layer. Some older DVD players have single layer of DVD. Mostly dual-layer DVD movies are growing. My five-year old Pioneer DVD won't work to play dual-layer DVD player.. Then I had bought new Sony dual-layer DVD player last few years ago.

My parents owns a Panasonic DVD player which is 8 years old and it is still working strong, can play multi-region DVDs and dual layer DVDs. Talk about longevity, huh?

I m making mistake. I have 8-year old old single-layer Panasonic DVD Player instead of Pioneer. I had left it in my storage. I will give it to goodwill or Salvation Army soon.

No, This movie is region locked to Europe, including UK and cannot be played on US Xbox 360 or PS3.

You need have region free DVD player or play on PC.

This movie is locked to Europe only.

huh?! Phillips is from Europe? I didn't know that because i look at his location it's said spaceship, lolz. You are right, i not able download game from europe like my friend tried to send me for sum info. But! Not all of it.
