The title says it all.... let me know

It does not quite say it all. 1. You mean go to the same restaurants and shops?

2. Or you could mean like turn in a circle after every five steps, or check that you still have your keys or wallets?

If you mean the first example, I am a creature of habit and I do like doing the same things I enjoy.

But for the second example, I try to avoid those repetitive things! :P

I meant the 2nd example

When Im walking to the bus stop or walking to college when Im on my own I HAVE to check my shoes constantly for dog mess or whatever
Or if im out shopping I have to check my bag to see if Iv still got my phone and purse.

Aha! A little OCD!! And absolutely, I keep wondering if I checked the stove, locked the door, and if I have my keys and money.

But I try not to do it so much that it keeps me from enjoying.

When I was younger I was much worse about that. I have relaxed more as I have gotten older. :)

I still get anxious if I know my mum hasnt done anything e.g if I know she hasnt locked the door before I go to bed i get anxious.
I get quite anxious about a lot of things but I'm trying to reduce it.
I hate being late for anything, I'm always early for everything which is great!

I used to be the same way, but as I've gotten older, it's gotten better!

My 12 yr. old is like that, his teacher at school mentioned it to me not too long ago. Always "double checking"! In some ways it's good, I think. In other ways, it's a nuisance! Could be he got it from me!

I always have to double check things before I do it, i have to double check instructions too, I can't help it but as i get older I'll hopefully get better

I always double check to make sure lights are off and have my keys. Before I go out.

I have learned to lock my car with the key remote, to make sure I have them.

I have OCD so yeah... that's rather self explaining

I also have OCD, so yes, I do alot of things repetitively. However, its alot better now that I'm in treatment.

I do not have OCD. I just locked myself out of car and home, one too many times. So I trained myself to make sure I have my keys! :)

My OCD is when I tend to think about planning too long before I actually do the plan.

Not today, although when I was younger, whenever i was approaching any high stress areas (large classrooms, crowded malls, gang types, etc), I would imagine "deploying" a division size mechanized infantry force supported
by a wing of helicopter gunships and a battery of heavy artillery and SAMs, a squadron of multi-role and interdiction aircraft along with several strategic heavy bombers, TLAM armed carrier battle group supported by attack SSNs, and several nuclear armed SSBNs offshore. Strange as it seems, this little distracting ruse worked! LOL

I find it really stressful in large crowd places

I have a lot of anxieties for various and sundry reasons. I think my OCD is probably related to and may even be resultant of those anxieties. I don't deal so much with the complusion part (complusion is like the need to check and recheck your shoes, or wash and rewash your hands)...I have trouble with the obessive part. I have an obession with dogs. Very strange. I know. Can't really help it. When I get really stressed, I'll sit for hours with my books about dogs. I get obessive over food (and deal with anoxeria on a daily basis) and all that sort of thing.

Not exactly a flattering post for me, but I think you should know that I don't think many people are bothered by your need to repeat the actions you spoke of over and over again. We all have our way of coping, and yours is as unique as you are.

Ditto here. I locked myself out of my apt this morning. :P I have lapses.

I always know the whereabouts of my keys, but I actually lost my car TWICE! Once in a neighborhood adjacent to a college bowl and another somewhere between a concert venue and a nearby bar!

I am not bothered what people think about me, all i wanted is to see other people's experiences
