The NEW Three Stooges!

The orginal three stooges were an instant cult classic for years...I say respect their talents and NEVER remake them with ANY other people.
 
Jim Carey is probably perfect for the Curly character.

I am not so sure if I would bother watching it.

i gotta admit that i haven't read the article yet. i am planning to. :giggle: oh Jim carrey play as curly. it fits him well. I know he can lose weight after the movie is over.

i would give it a try to watch them.

I don't think Sean Penn or Benicio del Toro are funny at all! :scratch:
 
If they put in Robin Williams, Jim Carrey or Tim Allen, that's perfect entertainment.

Those 2 others would be perfect comedy than Sean Penn and Benicio del Toro.
And I agree, that the original cast should leave it as it is. But unfortunately, there is many remakes out there that takes away originals. :(
 
Hmm... I'm trying to picture these actors for those roles.

Jim Carrey seems to be the only guy that I can picture doing well considering what he has done in the past on In Living Color and Ace Ventura the Pet Detective.

On the other hand... I'd be more worried about how the modern society will react towards these shows.

Back then, we've had the original 3 Stooges beating the crap out of each other. We've also had cartoon characters like Wylie E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd getting their butts kicked in the worst way possible. Now, when they try to recreate cartoons with violence... everyone complains.

So, if they go on with the new Three Stooges concept... we'll probably hear parents complaining about how the movie encourages violence. In fact, we might even have a bunch of high school kids who think it would be fun to poke each other's eyes out and to slap each other like idiots.

Unless... they decide to take a different approach and look at things from a self-injury accident thing instead of inflicting injury on each other. If that's the case, then that would ruin the classic concept of the REAL 3 Stooges. :(

Actual, either Williams, Carrey or Allen are ideal for being Curly, not Moe or Larry.

Moe is serious-ass and Larry is either idiot or serious.
 
i still can't picture jim carry as a heavy character actor for playing as curly. :shock: It is going to be an interesting to see how he looks like when he gains 40 lbs.

I am not sure about Benicio del Toro. Well, i remember penn senn did something so hilarious in a dry funny style in Ridgemont. I think penn senn can do it again.

i loved the three stooges classic.

Some celebrities have done that for some movies. Sylvester Stallone gained weight for Copland. Renee Zellweger gained 30 pounds for Bridget Jone's Diary.
 
I missed old Three stooges. I never knew Moe,Curly, and Shemp are brother in real life till now!

yeah i think some celebrities are nuts for gaining weight to play for the show and then losing weight to be themselve again. :shock: lucky them that they have personal trainers who kick in the ass real hard.

in the last of the article, they are shocked about jim playing as a curly. that's how i feel about him.

i will watch modern the three stooges movie.

Nothing wrong.... Do you remember that Eddie Murphy played as fat man or fat woman? They are excellent to make up fat people without gain weight on Jim Carey or Eddie.

There are some actors, for example... George Clooney gain in order to do the movie in "Syriana". It make part sense how he should look like. After the movie, he lose weight from excellent personal trainer. heh
