Moving again....

Good luck :)

By the way, be careful about those crazy people. I was used to have a roommate that I envicted, who was a drugs addict and didn't pay, also I have a lot of bad experience with him and some of the stories was scary...

My cousin had a house with 6 bedrooms. She rented them out to people she knew and some she went to college with. Mainly she knew them for 10 years or more. One of the guys just basically "snapped" when she asked him about his late rent and he stabbed her 47 times. She died and he is currently serving time in a mental health prison for life. My uncle didn't ask for anything except that he get the help he needed. The episode was enough that the guy never recovered. This happened in 1992 in Minnesota.

Wow, that's awfully!! I am very sorry about your cousin.. :(

Mine is not that worst like your cousin, but my ex roommate was high on the meth which I didn't know that he was on the meth. He was not happy with me for one little thing and goes very mad at me. He was big, and fat, also tall, about 5 inches taller than me while I was slimmy at 5'9. He broke my two ashtrays, but I laughed at him because I couldn't believe that he take it so seriously. When I laughed at him, he put his face very close to my face and blowing me out which scare me so I went to my room. My door knob was not yet installed on the door so I was trying to put the door knob on the door so that I can lock myself in my room. While I was screwing the door knob on the door, he came to me and push the door on me hard, but I ignore him and focus working on the door knob. When I successfully fixed the door knob, I immedately shut the door and locked the door and got out of the window, walked to the gas station to call the police on him for assault.

The police came to my place and warned him if he assault me again, the police will have to put him in the jail. He stopped doing that to me again, but I gave him a enviction notice and a month later he moved out.

I just found a place today and paid deposit and rent (my parents paid for it) and I'm moving in pretty soon. I'm waiting to hear from Joe to give me the keys tonight, I already looked at the place this morning. It is basically a roommate housing with a bunch of rooms, but I can live with that since it comes with rent and utilities included. My roommate is being evicted by Sunday because she doesn't pay the full rent. It's scary that there are crazy people out there.

Hey sequoias, did ya get into a big frat house where everybody is drunk and running around naked all weekend? :laugh2:

I wouldn't laugh at people who were angry. They'd just get angrier and they could hurt you. That wasn't a very bright thing to do.

All those stories about crazy roommates are the reasons why I do not live with roommates. It's rather nice to live alone and do what I want to and not have to deal with drama.

Tell me about it! I used to have a roommate who was uh ... weird. She had CP and ADHD. She was very aggressive and agurementive (I won't deny I'm not easy to live with due to ADHD either.) and we got along like two cats in hell.

Once she told me that she supported ethnic cleansing and then in the next breath she said she wanted to be a Jew. She was into Nostradmus and kept worrying about which of his predictions would come true.

When my old roommate came with her brothers to pick up some stuff, one brother asked for my copy of Nostradmus so I handed it to him and then hoped his brother wasn't half the trouble maker that everyone said he was and that he wouldn't read the book or I'd certainly hear about it in spades. Oh, I heard about it in spades all right.

He met my roomate and they talked about that book and he told her that the Anti-Christ that Nostradmus foretold had already come to Richmond and that he was the Pope. That upset her very much and I had to spend all night clamming her down. I could have strangled Ridor. :P I have both of them to thank for my hate of Nostradmus.

If I met someone like like that I'd be gone in a nanosecond. I cannot be around people who support ethnic cleansing. And for her worrying so much about Nostradamus's predictions, maybe some OCD medications would benefit her?

Anti-Christ being the Pope....hilarious! But I'm sorry he upset your roommate, though. I don't care very much for Nostradamus. I think if I was into Nostradamus, I'd have all kinds of nightmares. Um, no thanks!

Ridor....not surprising. I've read his blog. I wonder what happened to his blog, though....he closed it down months ago and said it was under construction, but nothing new has come to the blog in months...it still says it's "parked with DreamHost" and has been for months. Maybe a year, I think. Oh well. I don't like him, but I like to read his blog when I'm bored.

Well one thing I can say about Ridor is that he doesn't bore people. :P

Wish you best of good luck with your new home, Seq. I hope everything goes smooth for you and your future. It's good to know that your parents support you.

What do you think, he should get that mad because I told him that he have to clean? Was it that serious?

People laughed at me when I get mad, but I don't get violence.

He was high on the meth, that's different story.

Seq, good luck with your relocation.

I don't want live with roommate, never and not want get deal with issues or conflict, I made limit to spouse, relative or families and live alone.

Puyo, that's very embarrassed for you to laugh at roommate when whoever get angry and you would probably never know if roommate has mental disorder and that's sounds like teen behavior, no offensive.

Me embarrassed and having the teenager behavior about laughing?

Well, I was the one who supposed to get mad. I am the landlord, there's no way he should approach me that way, like if you live in a apartment, would you hit your landlord? He didn't pay the rent, broke my ashtrays which are my handmade, use the meth in my house which put me in the risk to lose my house, plus he never help me clean my house, not even once.

All of those over me requesting him to help to clean, especially he was 28 years old which are 7 years older than me, sounds very stupid.

He was the one who was supposed to be very embarrassed and VERY childish behavior! :mad2:

Also I have known him for like 5 years and never seen him that violence, nor if he was on the meth. He was also used to be my friend.

Also the use of meth are very serious issue. The meth is the top dangerous drugs of all, it's very addictive and make you stay wake, and aggressive for more than a day.

Yup in bold, it does but supposed to act like mature and professional when appealing at someone, however it has been happen to other people when approach at landlord.

Yup, I know about how your feeling about situation with roommate but you need be careful about what happen to roommate, it's just advice and I think you have rights to check their background.

Glad that you got a solution after something terrible happen. whew.

There are NO excuse of meth usage, plus there are NO reason to assault in this situation. Not even a laughing of mine. He don't deserve my mature and professional attitude for this kind of situation, not at all.

I never heard that someone would hit on someone just because that person laughed at other while other was mad.

Also, the situation wasn't my fault, it was his after breaking my ashtrays due to his highness with the meth.

About their backgrounds, they don't always tell everything details about that person. I know him very well as I have known him for 5 years, and he is just hiding something from me, I felt stupid to trust him in the first place.

Oh man, whatever, you are on your risk.

But... you still don't act like right to them and it's your fault to accept him.
