Google Search Problems?

What browser are you using? IE or Firefox?

It sounds like a spyware/malware that's hidden on your computer or something.

Does it only do that when you search "bulldog" or does it do that with other searches?

Also, you should contact Google and inform them of this error.

Nah, it's ok. I want to fix my PC quickly than buying new PC. Question: Foxrac, do you think I need to format my HDD for safe reason?

Yeah, Best to reformat your hdd. Clean install OS is better than fixing infected OS. Why not install Ubuntu!

I always reformat my hdd if I get a weird behavior on my pc or laptop.

I recalled back then when I had Win 95 and was AOL member using dial up modem. I use search engine (yahoo) as my main search engine and the first time I found what I wanted. Then next day, I looked for what I found day before, It was not there!? Then I tried to search specific thing and it was not on the list. I got really puzzled. I decided to log off my account then log in my wife's account, I browsed exactly what I did, I found the site. Then I decide to log off my wife's account then log back in. I searched same thing and it's not there. Something is preventing me from finding what I want to find. Something is trimming away my search on 2nd time each time I look for something for same thing 2nd time and more.. I suspected Trojans or spyware preventing me from finding information that I want to look again for 2nd time. I decided to reformat and reinstall Win 95 then log in AOL and browsed Yahoo. It finally let me find what I want and I tried again and still find it. That's where I learned from browser funky behavior when infected.

So best thing reformat and reinstall OS. Or you can download and burn Ubuntu or Google gOS as a "live cd" boot in a way to bypass your infected XP. I use that alot when I browsed through some odd website that I don't want to go in with my weakling Wundoz XP. Linux is strong and can't read Virus code at all

I use Avast! Antivirus (free version) and I googled search for blackberry curve PAM connection info and one of the site DID tried to infect my browser, Avast! caught it redhanded and asked me to delete or put it in "chest". I put it in chest and afterward it ran fine. It's best to have live scanner to catch deceiving trojans or spyware in act and rip em' out with your "bare hand" (click to "delete" on Avast!'s alert window).

I sure hope this would be my suggestion

I would use Ubuntu for internet and several other programs, not much support like no sliverlight for watch Netflix movies via instantly PC.

Not much games are on Linux, I don't like emulate, such as WINE and too wacky to me.

I'm struck with Windows, Mac is good and has everything as Windows does except for games.

I do format it now.... see you in about 3hrs. Wish me good luck.

Can you back up the file from C:/Program Files/(saved game files)?? If you could do that then reformat it and ur brother reinstall game and transfer 'saved games' back to the fresh file.

My sons save games in their pc and I reformatted and they had to start over again. I warned them that PC need reformat cuz too many junks in files. You need to be a bit tough with him in order to have it reformatted then reinstall XP to have smooth running system.

OR.. Download and burn one of Linux distro such as Ubuntu or any good Linux then use it as a 'live cd" boot to boot into linux desktop without installing it to hard drive and use browser to browse net even google search. Virus can't bother Linux.

Nice, I had used Norton and McAfee on my old PC and it slow my game and intensive application down since Kaspersky don't.

Haven't tried Avast yet.

I wish that all anti-virus programs will be free, jeez.

Thanks for accepting my suggestion

Now my AMD64 system got hit with Trojans and Avast! caught it and I delete it. Then it got hit again and again. Trojans are pretty aggressive! I guess I dl infected file.. I went ahead and ran Avast! "deep scan" and let it scan deeply after rebot. I configured it to delete any trojan and any files without asking me. Make process faster tho.
