yes. That's why the President has a very limited use with emails. It's just matter of national security. That's why they provided staff for President to do those functions. It sucks but oh well.... maybe Obama can change that.

Well that's normal, there's cell phone and technologies was banned everywhere in the workplaces and schools.

Very interesting stuff and thread too. I learned something new today. As for giving up his blackberry, I am sure Obama will become so busy with his duties, he wouldnt miss it.

We will have a president who is is technology savvy for the first time. Should be interesting to see how technology evolves under his presidency.

Barack Obama expected to be first US "Tech President"
Does that mean that President Clinton wasn't tech savvy? He didn't have a laptop computer on his desk? That's shocking since his VP Gore invented the internet.

I have never seen Clinton have a laptop during his presidency. :dunno: Gore wasnt a president.

Bill Clinton may not have been tech savvy then, but he is now. He owns an iPhone.

Reba never said that he was. She said VP.

I know that...she was replying to my post about Obama being the first tech savvy president. I wasnt talking about VPs so if Gore was tech savvy then, too bad he wasnt president then he would have been awarded with the "First Ever Tech Savvy President" prize! :giggle:

I don't think Obama will have time with computer and blackberry at all.. you know why? take a look at what kind of toll it takes on President of United States

it's a pix of President Bush from 2000 and 2007 - the before and after picture. Before - Bush's got black hair and looks youthful. Now he's just a cranky old fart with white hair and lot of wrinkles.

Yea, the same thing happened with Clinton too. He aged so rapidly during his presidency.

There you go. Would be interesting to see Obama's "After" picture. :hmm:

This thread has made me read all the way and it is interesting, despite I am not american. But whoo, it would be nice to evlove some difference in the technology with the US's new president, it would be awesome to see a nice mac laptop on the president's desk, it doesn't matter if it is unnecessary to have one though, even Reba said, powerful (or someone else). Blackberry? C'mon, it is the technology we are in now, not the 1960's. :roll:

:laugh2::laugh2:

After not doing anything for our country over the past 8 years, I'm surprised by that.

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Uh, Reba, you are mistaken. Al Gore did NOT invent the internet. :roll:
