Let the gaffes begin

*whispers to Hear Again* I used a teeeeny bit of sarcasm in my comment above. :)

Honestly, to me, it's just so much easier to make fun of certain people's actions more than others. I mean how do you make fun of this gaffe? I want someone to make a joke about this. I can't cuz it's really not funny, nor is insensitive enough to make people enraged. Is anyone REALLY pissed off about this? Or thinks its funny?

Oh, okay. :) It looks like I completely missed your sarcasm.

I can't say I'm p****d off about Obama's comment, but I *can* say that I don't think it's funny.

I don't think any of the media will be poking fun of Obama's comment since that would be tacky.

I think Liebling is trying to make the comparison that since Bush never apologized for any of the lies he told over the past 8 years, Obama shouldn't be expected to apologize for the remarks he made about Nancy Reagan.

(If I am wrong about that Liebling, please correct me.)
I hope that's not what she meant. That's a rather juvenile perspective.

Note: I'm of the opinion that Obama *should have* apologized for his comments. They were insensitive and uncalled for.
Agreed.

Actually, psychics *are* the same as astrologers. They are known as "psychic astrologers," so Obama wasn't *completely* off the mark with his insensitive comment.
I hate to nitpick but Obama didn't say "psychic"--he said "seance." Consulting an astrologer is not the same activity as participating in a seance.

It's no different than AD Repulicans who can't accept the fact that Obama will soon be our President.
I accept Obama in the office of President.

That doesn't mean I have to agree with everything he says or does.

Reba,

In an earlier post you said that you "felt sad for our country" because we elected Obama.

That doesn't sound like acceptance to me.

I think Liebling is trying to make the comparison that since Bush never apologized for any of the lies he told over the past 8 years,

Yes, that´s right. That´s why I like about Obama because he ADMITTED his mistake and apology which Bush and McCain doesn´t.

Obama shouldn't be expected to apologize for the remarks he made about Nancy Reagan.

No, it´s not correct. I would be disappointed if Obama didn´t offer his apology for his behavior to Nancy but he did which is a great.

I remind some Bush/McCain´s supporters the difference manner between Bush/McCain and Obama and explained that Bush and McCain should take the example of Obama´s manner for admit his mistakes and apology which Bush and McCain doesn´t. Some Republicians should ashamed themselves when they complaint about Obama´s disrespectful behavior when they know Obama did apologized which McCain/Bush doesn´t.

(If I am wrong about that Liebling, please correct me.)

You interpreted my post that Obama should not apology Nancy is not correct.

Note: I'm of the opinion that Obama *should have* apologized for his comments. They were insensitive and uncalled for.

You do not need to say Obama *should have* because he DID apologized Nancy.

What does your memory have to do with this thread?

Because you don´t bother to say anything about McCain´s disrespectful behavior in my 2 threads. See yourself what we (Obama´s supporters) accept our knowledge that Obama made a mistake and happy that Obama apologized Nancy for his mistakes... I haven´t see any word from you and McCain/Bush supporters to think of McCain´s disrespectful behavior.

I add 2 of MANY examples links here to compare your thread here... Its about "apologized" and "disrespectful" which relate this thread.

You are upset and can´t accept the fact that Obama APOLOGIZED Nancy for his mistake and denied McCain´s disrespectful behavior in several threads.

You can´t have both ways...

I agree, Daredevel.

Obama's comment was pretty insensitive and completely uncalled for.

Hopefully he'll stop and think before making such ridiculous remarks like that again in the future.

Yes we do not deny what and how Obama did wrong but we are happy that Obama admitted his mistake and apologized Nancy. Daredevel made post to keep Reba happy because she is upset over Obama´s disrespectful behavior toward Nancy. None of Obama´s supporters deny it. Have you read the 2 links, I posted to fresh Reba´s memory that she DENIED McCain´s behavior and doesn´t even offer his apology. That´s why I have no respect for McCain.

Reba,

In an earlier post you said that you "felt sad for our country" because we elected Obama.

Yes I see the same thing as you as well.

Divide we fail!

Therefore get over and work together so why couldn't anyone do?

Hate to be blunt, but I don't think Obama even need to apologize, he is just doing his job and his best to do something that are right.

We voted him this year and he won, so dealt with it!

Obama's comments were inappropriate and uncalled for. Just because some of us think Obama should have apologized (which he did), that doesn't mean we don't accept the fact he is our President-elect.

Yup that's right, it's indivdual's opinon to vote for him or not. But I just don't see any reason why Obama should tell sorry because what if we force McDonalds to apologize to the obesity people?

I think it is past your bed time.

I suppose you wouldn't mind if someone made an inappropriate comment about your dead husband or wife (I don't know your gender)?

And what does Obama have to do with McDonald's?
