Since Jillo made over 20K in post, I have been thinking about how easy it is to accumulate so many posts, I came up with an idea that could help all of us if you are up to it.

I wonder if u would like to put a certain about of money, like a dime or whatever for each post we make in a piggy bank or an empty juice bottle. If I had to put $1 for every post I made each day since I joined, I would have had over $15,000 saved. Instead of a dollar, what about a quarter or a dime? Just thought to come up with a creative way to get us to save money?

What do you think? I think I am gonna start tmw with a quarter for each post. If I dont have them with me, I can jot down the number of posts I make each day and collect the same number of quarters to put in my bottle. If it works, in a few years, I could save thousands of dollars. What do you think? Stupid idea or not? :giggle:

Good idea! I may need to either slow down posting or earn more!:P

If everyone did this, there would be more thought provoking posts!

Some posts aren't worth a quarter..:D

Cuz if Jillo donated $1 for each post, she would have had over $20K saved...same with Liebling, Cheri, Vampy and others...Dang!!! If only saving money was that easy which was why I came up with this idea. It may be hard but not impossible.

I no longer remember how many messages I posted today (actually yesterday), but I'm going to start counting later today. Great idea, Shel! :)

Jillio's posts would be worth, at least, $1. Lieblings' would be troublemakers' so it mean -$1. Want to save money? Then don't listen to the person who claims to be someone who she is not.

That sounds like a good idea. It would be a good way to pay off my debt. :)

Off-topic...

Both Jillio's and Liebling's posts have always been very informative. If you disagree, then don't read them.

Value of Wakamuka's posts: -0

Shel - what I do is set up the automatic withdrawal for my saving account (different bank) to withdraw $20 from my checking account every Friday. Been doing it for a few months. It is nice.

as for post - i guess why not? a $1 per post is quite expensive... how about a nickel?

I am going with 25 cents. 15,000 times .25 is 3,750. Wish I can do a dollar!!!

Shel90,

I think your idea is wonderful!!! I just told my hubby about your post... He laughed and said it´s good suggestion then it would make us richer... :giggle:

I just got my old piggy bank... I am going to add €1 per post from today.

I guess I should be a banker? One time I told my friend, who had complained to me about having a hard time saving money, instead of buying pop from the vending machines with her change, put her change in an empty bottle so she started. It was 5 years ago and she told me last year that she saved over $1,000 in change. She was pleased. Hehehehe!

Shel,

My mother always encouraged me to save all of my change in a container. Last year I saved $100. It's amazing how quickly change can add up!

WOW. over $1,000 change??? I hardly buy anything from vending machines. IT'S A RIP OFF!!! I just buy a bulk and bring some to work.

Are you willing to put aside $5 a day?

If you want to figure out how much you will likely be putting aside a day, look at your profile. Under statistics, you'll see your average posts per day. Divide that number by 4 and you've got your dollar value.

If you make an average of 20 posts per day, that's $5 per day put aside.
