Yep, this is the moment where I realize my kids aren't as little as I'd like them to be.

Today, My 7 year old son was playing with his toys and his first baby tooth fell out. He ran up to me and was so excited because the past 2 years, my oldest son had almost all of his baby teeth falling out. He wanted to be like his brother but was so disappointed. When his tooth fell out today, He just could not hold his excitement in today! So, I gave him a small empty medicine bottle to secure the tooth in it. I was happy for him but at the same time I was a little sad to see my little boy's growing up.

Boy, When it came to his bed time tonight, He was beyond his excitement and kept holding the empty medicine bottle in his hands. He didn't want to let go of it, haha. I had to explain to him that if he puts it under his pillow, the tooth fairy would come to put some $$ in it. He also wouldn't go to sleep right away! After a while, I told him that if he didn't go to sleep, the tooth fairy wouldn't come. He cooperated and went right to sleep! Thank god it worked like a charm!

Of course, I made sure he was deep asleep and I had to be careful not to wake him up to get the empty medicine bottle with his baby tooth in it to replace it with $2. I'm curious to see his reaction in the morning when he sees the $$ in there!

I'm sure every parents on this forum has went through this at one point. :)

haha

thats understandable.

I hope he gets a generous fetch for the prize tooth. Cost of living is a pain in the butt these days ;)

Aww, that's cute he got his first baby tooth fell out. I bet he can't wait in the morning when he wakes up. :)

Once when my older daughter lost a baby tooth, we washed the blood off it in the sink and dropped it. It went down the drain and she was so sad no tooth for the tooth fairy.

All the family was so sorry everyone gave her money. I think she got much more than if it went to the tooth fairy after all!

lol cute! If he was so jealousy of his brother, then he's lucky he is not like me which I have two baby teeth which was never removed or grow till I became 12, I have to have a brace on my teeth to repair it, also removing two of my baby teeth.

aww, I already got my adult tooths lol, and I remember my dad replaced my tooth with a 10 dollar bill one time. lol.

My sister is currently going through that with her kids. My nephew has been losing his baby teeth for a little under a year now. He turned 8 in June. My neice lost her first baby tooth 4 mos ago. She'll be 7 in Sept.

It's sad to see them grow up. :(

AHh Jo.. I bet ya would be happy no matter because your boys are growing up faster but they gonna be your little kids in your heart no matter what..and as for the tooth fairy oh yeah.. lol my mom used to do that to me when I was little... lol I think I got a 10 bucks one time.. not sure.. lol..

Jolie, I can't believe when you mentioned it to me earlier. He's definately becoming a boy. I still, remember him a baby holding him and your oldest in my arms. They grow up so rapidly.
I can't wait to hear his reaction when he discovers the $$$ do keep me updated.
