heeeeeeeeelllllllllppppppp

I'll try and limit my pop drinking to only one pop. No more than that. I've been eating fruits. And i'll try and eat a banana while I can. I'll bring a banana with me on monday Marching band practice for lunch. I'm staying there all day from 9AM-9PM.

I agree with someone. You must drink a lot of water not a pop. You can eat a banana. It's good for energy instead of drink pop. Good luck at March Band.

Sounds like you have a stubborn dog!:giggle: Good luck with memorizing your piece for marching band.

lol thanks, i almost got the piece memorized..I just need to memorize the last page. It's our warmup song. Called Not The Same. IT has 4 pages in it. And yes my dog is stubbron. She jumps out in the laundry room when we had a gate up to keep them in their room when we're in bed. And she jumps out of there for no reason and if there's a storm going on. she's such a scary cat lol.

Thanks, i'm still dreading on the running that we'll have to do. I just don't like getting side pains at all. I went to bob evans for dinner and i got a Chicken-pot-pie with a side salad dish and banana bread. Idk if banana bread is healthy for you..is it? i'm just wondering. And also I drank water at dinner. Not soda.

I would suggest you to have this pain-free tips (its up to you take it or not)

strecth daily to have the body flexible. drink a lot of water to keep the body stable. do light jog in 1/2 mile before start full jog, try take a easy. eat fruits and pastas! try to limit your junks.

If you know the next day with long hard run in 2 miles, try to eat pastas a day before. If you continue drink water and pastas so you'll see the difference. Bananas is helpful to heal the cramps (yes its true, the reasons why i eat that bananas daily because i play basketball, surf, softball and some kinds of activity).

CoolGirl - One thing I want to tell you which is the most important thing in life beside planning and diet plan. Please do not set your goal to attain the image that you want from Cosmopolitan/People/etc. magazine. It's very important that you feel comfortable about yourself and you know to yourself that you want to improve your physique.

Set the goal you want to achieve and then stay on that course until you finish it. Then set another goal. For example - "I want to be able to run 2 miles in 20 min easy. I want to be 120 lbs. I want to have a nice hard abs. etc. etc." Do it one at a time and be patient. VERY patient. Improving your physique and health takes a long time and yes it's hard. it's easy to give up. but hey - once you achieve your goal - it'll lasts for a lifetime... much more than these celebrities who have to keep spending money on plastic surgery and liposuction frequently. That's why they're unhealthy and are prone to many problems especially depression. They're never happy with their own bodies.

First - be able to do running, push-up, sit-up, maybe pull-up... very basic! You don't need an expensive gym membership or some fancy equipments to do it. Just a towel and floor mat will do at your home. Good luck! :cool2:

Bob Evans is kind of fat and high calories. Just be careful what you eat. The chicken Pot Pie is high fat and high carb. The salad and banana bread are good for you.

oh okay, thanks for the heads up. Usually i get green beans from Bob Evans. And some other restruants that has Green Beans. I had the salad with croutons and ranch dressing. And I did pushups, situps, and i put some weigh on my arms to lift them (you know wat I'm talking about) with my chair in my bedroom. And weighting with my legs and trying to make them flexible by scretching them. My legs are the most part that are not that flexible. My back is kind of. I have knots in my shoulder so my dad trys to rub them to not make it a knot anymore. But the thing i'm trying to do is the kind of push ups that guys do because I know marching band will include pushups. I'm fine with pushups, situps, jumping jacks, etc. Its just the jogging. I'll try and ride my bike. I'll schretch before i do that. And i'll bring PLAIN water with my bike along if i get tired. I don't drink gadorate that much. I drink Propel. And i didn't know propel had sugar in it. I'll buy some gadorate at the high school. I have to admit, I don't like sandwiches at all. I like PB&J. My mom told me peanut butter has protein in it. She's a nurse at MVH (miami valley Hospital) here in Dayton,Ohio. My dad is a pharmasist. I'll try and keep some updates about my excercising daily so you guys can give me some tips. These are good ones. Thanks!

i've been doing some push-ups, sit-ups and arm weigh and leg weigh in my bed room. But What is a pull-up?? I never heard of that tecuniqe... I'm trying to stay on balence with my health and my strength. My plan is for tomorrow if it's nice outside (hopefully not raining, cuz there prob a possiblily that it might rain..idk..i'll have to check.) I'm going to go for a bike ride around the neighboorhood. I'm planning on going to my old elementary school park which is 5 mins away from my house but if you walk or ride on your bike its probably 10 mintes or so. But in my neighboorhood we have alot of hills. And bikeriding up the hill is probably wearing me out. But i try and push myself to get to the last stop sign and make a right to get to my elementary playground. If my dad's car is not in the way when he gets home from work later in the morning (he works a 3rd shift at MVH, a 4PM-3AM shift) I'll try playing some basketball. If it is in the way i'll play soccer. Or do hula-hoop. Hula hoop can make you flexible a little bit???

Pull-Up is where you pull yourself on the bar

Try not to use weight bag too much. It puts the strain on your backbone and joints. I have heard from my friend that his friend was a track runner and wanted to push herself by adding weight bags. After a while... she ended up with a permanent back injury.... the end of her track life... so sad... Just be careful with it.

You're welcome. :) You can keep it up exercise and be in shape. I used to be in sport when I was same as your age. Yeah I know what you are talking about situps, pushups and other. If you're tired and just take a rest for an hour. Just attention at nutrition facts what you eat. I am glad that your mom is a nurse. That's true about PB is good for health and protein. If you want to learn about nutrition facts and diet. You can talk and discuss with your mom about your diet. Or you can research for Nutrition facts through google. It will help you. Make sure look at low sugar or none sugar on back of nutrition facts. Your age and health are very important.

ohh ok, I remember doing that for gym class as a test. But I didn't do quite good with it. We don't actually have a Pull up..

Okay, I have band camp next week. I have band camp on monday at my high school from 9AM-9PM. And then on tuesday-saturday i'm gone for the week, I'm going to be at Miami University here in ohio. And I really need to work my ass off on some excercising. So i was doing situps, pushups (not like what guys do. girls cross their legs and use their knees on the floor and do pushups but i tried doing what guys do for push ups..i barely can do it!) and i was lifting my chair on my legs and arms to get some more muscles, etc. But i was planning on going for a jog but i got too lazy. And i've been drinking too much pop and i want to start getting in shape now before I have band camp. And i know I don't have that much time.

So..Whenever i jog, i get side pains ALOT! Like under my ribs on my right side starts to hurt. And it would start to hurt after 3 minutes or so, and I would start to feel like i'm going to faint and I have to stop running for a min or 2. Because I KNOW that the whole marching band members (including the pit members and i'm in the pit) would have to run around the campus at Miami University. Maybe for a 2 mile jog i think. I'm not sure how many miles i'll be running. But the worst thing i'm not looking forward to band camp is the running. Because of my side pains. And I've been eating some fruits, vegtables, i'm trying to drink more water, and i've been riding my bike around the neighboorhood, and i was playing a bit of basketball and soccer outside of my house.

So my problem is my side pains whenever i'm jogging either for school, around the neighboorhood, or for the marching band. So, how would you handle this?? And how would you get rid of the pain?? Because I do NOT want to feel the side pains again when i'm running. It takes out energy of me. Can you help me pls????? Thanks so much!!!

Are you trying to gain or lose weight?

Before workout, you must stretch your muscles then do some exercises. Try stand up pull down bar with the weight you can handle per rep and time for your both arm triceps. You must be consistent and have commitment for it. After couple weeks, you can do few push-ups.

For sit-ups, just lay down on your back, on soft mat or bed, and bring both of your legs toward to you and down several time. Both feet must be facing other end not toward you. Knees facing you.

Breathe normally when you workout. Inhale and exhale.

Increase your water intake. A good formula for this is to multiply your bodyweight by .66 to get the required number of ounces per day.

Get plenty of sleep everyday. Usually 7 to 8 hours is good enough. Try to sleep on your back when you're asleep.
