Ewoks

We had a Shih-Tzu many years ago (1976-79) named Ping-Li. She looked cute in this birthday party picture. (Not her birthday, ha, ha.)

We used to have Lhasa Apsos. Then I got the white one who looks like a poodle (also Shih/Poo) and I kind of got hooked on that crossbreed. Even though they don't look alike they are pretty similar and a great team.

I am hoping being crossbreeds gives them longer healthier lifespan.

Also your Shih-Tzu was adorable.

:ty:

All those kinds of dogs (including the mixes) are cute. But most of them require lots of grooming. If we didn't brush Ping every day she got tangles and mats. Once in a while we'd take her for professional grooming, and they always added cute bows to her top knot. Sometimes we used baby barrettes. Yeah, she was a spoiled sissy dog, ha, ha.

Hubby brushing Ping:

Reba, do these dogs know you? I suppose they yip and jump up and down when you come cuz you're prolly gonna feed them and maybe walk them?

Heh, heh. Tonight my daughter is bringing her Aussie dog over for us to watch for a few days. Yesterday, we bought some Schwann's Dog-Zerts treats to serve her when she gets here. Yeah, we spoil them.

Wow didnt even know they were in fact called Ewoks aka Shih Tsu. My first thoughts was those star wars characters and was like uh but when saw the photo close up i realised they were shih tsu but had no idea they got a another name to it so that was fascnaticing to know.

Very cute dogs by the look of it and bet they are a handful.

They're throwbacks, heh, heh.

Otherwise known as Shih Tzu that were shaved too much on their bodies. :D

i don't know why groomers always shave the bodies too much... don't they have any common sense? when i was at pet store to buy some food, i overheard a very very angry pet owner screaming at groomer about her maltese being shaved. i saw other dogs at waiting room for owners to pick up and they're shaved as well

that's why my mom does the grooming herself.

The two doggies in my picture were shaved by their owner herself. That's the way she likes them.

That reminds me of a movie I saw years ago... Repossessed. It's a spoof sequel of The Exorcist. There was this television evangelist whose wife had one of those dogs as a pet. On live television, he went to pet the dog and the dog bit him. He yelled... "You little shit!" Suddenly, the audience gasped. He looked at the audience and then added... "Tzu! Shih-Tzu! Such a cute little shih-tzu!" Then the audience sighed. Hehehe!
