Yup, some other countries does require citizens to have insurance like Japan and Germany are two of them so of course, they do have exemption as well.

Nope. Not at all. You might want to check stipulations.

As I said, it doesn't affect my practice one way or the other.

What? I still keep my health insurance from my work and I pay more on tax? That mean, I'm (holy-beep) broke.

Exactly what is being implied? Come on boys, spit it out.

Again, you quite obviously know little to nothing about insurance reimbursement for mental health care.

No, it does not mean that at all. Please cite the exact section of the bill that provides for that.

It has to be paid for somehow.....Are you willing to make a wager on whether taxes will go up for the middle class in the next 2 years? I am.

No. You are talking about two different things. Keeping your employer sponsored health insurance and taxes, and madated insurance.

In other words, you are just guessing. There is nothing in the bill that states that taxes will go up for those choosing to keep their employer sponsored insurance.

It would be the WHOLE dern thing that got crammed down our throats.

You made a comparison to this with ... uh, speeding tickets, parking fines and something else related to "driving".

Is it **required** to have a driver's license?

or is it a **choice**?

Think about that carefully. It is now a requirement to have health insurance if you wish to be a U.S. Citizen.

If you want to breathe air in the U.S. - you must pay for your own health insurance or get fined and/or imprisoned.

Please explain to us all how this will not create class warfare. Please explain how this is not socialism.

Exactly. It would appear that some equate the two. Perhaps that is why they are so easily provoked.

If you don't have Ins you will be required to get it now or pay a fine/face jail. If you have it through your job you can keep it.

Taxes will go up either way....in my opinion

But where in Texas does it make laws? Austin... right? And Austin is overwhelming a liberal city with strong Democratic voting record. We just like to give conservatives a hard time.

Again, cite the section of the bill that provides for increased taxes for those that choose to keep their employer sponsored health insurance.

OMG...what is this country coming to. Expecting people to have personal responsibility. Oh, the horrors of it all!

Of course... I mean seriously, they think they're being responsible by not having health insurance.

Hmm. Nowhere in the US Constitution does it say that Congress can deem a bill to have passed. Pelosi & Co. aren't just making up policy as they go, but also procedure -- possibly unconstitutional procedure, at that. All to enact a bill remaking a sixth of the US economy over the 3-1 opposition of the American people.
