DeafChat Discussion
i just tried to go into DeafChat.com and u need to sign up to go into there and chat. u need a screen name and a password. thats stupid. its been a long time since i've been in there. all the cool people left.
lol i got kicked out of there so many times. i also got into a lot of fights because there were some people who didn't like the fact that im hearing. |

actually u know what, the answer for most of ur questions is yes! ive been signing since i was about 7 or 8 years old. so i would say im pretty fluent in ASL, but there are times when i need to be reminded of a sign that i dont use often. when i took ASL class in high school the teacher made us put ear plugs in our ears for the entire week, and deal with trying to communicate to hearing people who dont understand ASL. no, ive never had any odd facial expressions from interviewers when i apply for job openings. and i am sorry that you do. with ur last statement, u seem to have a problem with yourself being deaf. i understand that hearing people can be assholes, and im sorry for that. but not ALL hearing people are like that. |

LOL I'm not surprised about deafchat gin by Matthew S. Moore. Thats the way he and other likes of Sweetmind try to carve up the deaf communities. It's seems that MSM's little empire is crumbling to say at least.
Besides all the folks there babble on and on and on and most of the folks there arent capable getting into a real constructive conversation like most folks here in AD can. Richard |
