Why is Starbucks' sign the way it is?
Hi, I've been wondering... why is the sign for Starbucks the way it is? To crudely describe it, it's the middle fingers flicking each other. I'd imagine it had something with holding two cappuccino shots, one per hand, and and the caffeine jitters causing the middle fingers to twitch. I don't know...

Starbuck sign flicks at each other (or between your head)

The logo? hmm... I've been staring cross-eyed at the logo for a while, as if it were a stereogram. I still can't see how they derived the sign from it. I even read the article on the historical perspective of the Starbucks logo, it's an interesting read. Still, no clue on why the sign is the way it is. Anyway, it's interesting to ponder it.
I'll keep staring at the logo and see if it'll come to me!

What do you sign for Starbucks? Some people have different signs for McDonald so I guess it depends on where you are in USA for the sign of Starbucks.

I can't! I don't know what's right!
Now, I'm imaging flicking the crown off the top of her head when I do the sign. Or perhaps it's the mermaid tails (she has two tails, that's what those things are on the sides - tails) flicking each other when she tries to swim.
