Warning: Wearing the wrist strap will help prevent the Wii Remote from flying across the room if you accidentally let go of it during game play.

heheh Ouch! Someday I will get Wii then careful with it! :P

:laugh2: at the first one.

oh no i keep telling kids to put wrist straps on them again and again. i start to worry about it now.

Never happens to me.

A couple years ago Nintendo already put in some extra strong strings around the wrist strap that would also prevent it from being thrown too hard and a Wii Jacket to prevent damage from throwing or dropping, as well.

Boy, people sure don't know how to hold their straps properly!

My grandfather plays the bowling game on Wii Sports very weird. It took us 1 hour to do a 4-player game of bowling because of him. What he did was press B button and start walking towards the television, then stand there 1 foot away from the television without releasing the B button. "Okay, it didn't bowl. Stupid game!"

Better use handcuffs. :laugh2:

I remember that picture a couple years ago when they first announced the strap problems.

Also around that time, someone posted a video to point out that there's obviously a problem with what the people are doing when they're using the Wii-motes wrong.

It was a video of this guy with a Wii-mote held on to a ledge. He then added a bunch of things to it to emphasize how much weight the original strap could handle. I think the heaviest thing used was a bowling ball.

If that thing can hold a bowling ball, then obviously people are doing something wrong to cause the strap to break.

I am well aware of this incident, I always strap my remote whenever I play and I WILL tell my friends/siblings/family to strap it up before they play.

Anyway, for the other people, epic fail.

Wii is a good gaming console, but you will have to risk it playing though.

I love the Wii, and I've always used the straps. Part of me used to think I didn't really need the strap but after seeing that first video, uh .. YEAH I DO !!! :)
