How many believe euthanasia animals/humans should be legal

There is a layer of self rule where we are governed for the people by the people. Beyond that at the county, state, and federal level it becomes more and more about economics as to who gets there into office and continues on up to the top of heap.

The triad of economics, religion, and culture become the prism through which decisions are viewed and employed.

The modern media machine manipulates culture every second of every day. We now get the peak benefit of mankinds knowledge on how to sway the public mind aimed at us. This in turn is not just effecting the culture is becomes the culture. Because the media machine is driven by economic forces and the leadership on the three most powerful levels of our government are determined by economics we have them both, ie. culture and economics, on one side of the scale whether they agree or not.

Religion is firmly on the other side of the scale. The religious belief of the people is a true heavy weight and is not to be left out of decisions that are made at every level of governance. Ours is a country of mixed beliefs but that does not mean they do not matter: these beliefs and how they are exercised are the balance to the two heavy weights on the other side.
That we have a scale at all is what our country is all about. The balancing point, the fulcrum, is us: a people of free will with the rights of man as individuals.

Me I am going back to see what Thomas Paine had to say about all of this.
