Firefox 3.0... Review

Firefox 3 passes the Acid2 test for web standards and gets 71 for the Acid3 test. It's higher in the development version and the Safari 4 Developer Preview passes smoothly with 100.

I did dl FF3 and install it.. but there was some huge problems.. example would be there was no add-ons and I had tried in vain to turn that add-on feature on in both IE (no add-on) and FF3 before I decided to remove FF3 and reinstall FoxFire 2 (lucky I had the FF 2 install file saved) and then got the IE back (with add-ons) .. so for now I will wait till FF3 is completely workable... one of the add-ons I had before the FF3 somehow blocked it was Norton with plishing protection, etc on the bar which FF3 didnt even want to show there.... that why...

I believe some add-ons aren't readily complicated with the Firefox 3 just yet. It usually takes bit of time for them to upgrade and complicate with the new version every time... shouldn't be long. Same it does with some software aka Norton or such.

Yeah, Firefox 2 will do you good enough for a while and allow Firefox add-ons to catch up. FF2 is also great.

I use FF3 and McAfee Security on Vista... also installed with Vista service pack 1... all work out, great so that's good for me. I'm a FF freak! lol

Ah web730.. I see... will there be an announcement as to if FF3 will be workable with all add-ons to be automatically included if so? That would be nice.. FF2 do work for me fine for now....

All you have to go to Adobe and download a flashplayer 8 plugin then close the FF then click on saved Flashplayer 8 file and run installation. After you're done installing, then run FF. You'll have Flashplayer already up and running. It ain't hard to do. I know it's a little hassle but it be useful long way!!

So any plug ins, simply download, close FF then run the installtion, then run FF again and it'll work fine.

I have not test FF3 in Linux yet. Cuz both of my desktop system were down. Once I have new board for it. I would be able to test to see how it go. I'm currently at my sister in law's house trying out Apple computer LOL. Safari seem fast due to fast processor. They just bought it 3 months ago.

FF3 loads so faster on Windows but Safari loads alittle slower when computer was in threat, such as infection in cookie, I had use AVG to removed all of them.

True  In Linux, FF2 browser loads faster in Ubuntu Linux in 64bit system than Windoz XP.

Another break your toys. Tsk tsk.

Nothing do with processor. It's software developer.

Safari faster one on OSX
Firefox faster one on Linux.

Windows maybe command. :giggle:

FF3 broke the world record as the most downloaded software within 24 hours! :thumb:

Spread Firefox | Download Day 2008
Too bad they won't be sending out certificates to every person who downloaded Firefox. That would be cool! ;)

"Whoa... what's that certificate on the wall?"

"Oh, that's what I got from the Guinness Book of World Records for being the 1,339,248th person out of 8,002,530 to download Firefox 3.0!"

I got an email saying that I could download the certifcate off the internet, but I had a look around the site and I couldn't find it, maybe it was full of bullsheet

When did you get the email? What day?

Few days after the record. I can't remember, I have a shitload of emails in my inbox... LOL!
Try this...

1.) Go to Google.
2.) Search for "firefox guinness certificate" (without quotes).
3.) Click on the first link.
4.) Type in your name.
5.) Print your certificate.

Or... click here. ;)
