:laugh2: Your thread is now spammed!

I built my first PC a few months ago so I can relate to your experience. It was a lot of fun and I would do it again.

You need cable management skillz, brah.

Going to overclock that bad boy? 4Ghz 24/7 is a gimmi with that setup.

Let me know if your gonna show it off with a unix OS running on it. Windows can go out of the window breaking itself.

um i already finished cable arranged with a ties that just i havent gotten new pic for that lol

i did overclock my 955 to 3.6 ghz. it's just i dont have lots of experiences to get 4.0 ghz.

there's more pics from before i got parts...:P i have to get a new camera for arranged cable the right way to get a better airflow. my camera is screwed up now lol

I hate to tell you.

corsair H50 is great for Intel to cool down but AMD. It's dont make any different. That's mean H50 for AMD is almost same as AMD's stock heatsink with fan for high stress temperature.

BTW nice CASE!

Pish, it's downright easy. You have a black edition processor, just set the multi to 20x200 and the vcore to 1.50 and stress test. If stable, then bring the vcore lower. If you recently bought the processor, then likely it's a C3 revision, which should be able to achieve 4.0 without breaking a sweat.

Also, to whoever said that the H50 is bad for AMD needs to do some reading. They're great for both systems.

It is 955 BE with a C3 revision and H50 is great on my system. that's all i need to raise 1.50 vcore thats it? but.. would it cost my cpu's lifespan if i raise voltage.

Normally, yes, but those phenom processors can take a lot. Max voltage is 1.55. Beside, processor lives are so long that you'll be replacing them with faster processor long before the CPU dies from overvoltage. Think 10+ years.

Anyway, set vcore to 1.5, 20x200 for 4.0 GHz. Then use Prime95 or OCCTPT to stress test. If it passes (depends on how long you let the stress test go on, I like to do 8 hour minimum), then lower vcore one notch and do another stress test. Rinse and repeat until you find the lowest stable vcore at 4.0. You'll likely end up somewhere in the 1.45 or 1.425 area.

I read few reviews already in last year.

Care to show me a source that H50 is "great" for AMD.

go to overclocking.net to ask guys who have h50s. i admit i love my h50...it dont have any problems :P

Post #100, ZorchThatCPU was using a h50 when he ran a 550 unlocked to X4 @ 4Ghz.

You might also want to scour xtremesystems.org for more evidence. Whoever told you H50 sucks for AMD was lying to you.
