I have no idea... but I think it would be much harder because the ligaments are further apart. Better to ask a specialist or professional about that... In my opinion, I wouldn't be shocked if you needed to get stitches, but I hope you don't. ~ Bri

Well... I live close with family, some live in other state, but I see them sometimes... Mom has trouble with because she has arthritis... but with dad's passing it's been rough. Any tips on how to present sign language to her or any of my family in a way that they could learn it easier?

Sorry to hear about your dad, my dad passed away last week (Jan. 17). I was right beside him, as was my mom. So I can relate. My prayers are with you.

The sign I learned was to grab your dominant hand (which is in closed-fist position) with the other hand and to shake the dominant hand (in fist position) as if you were grabbing a person who was violently shaking in a seizure.

I mostly use Pidgen's (mixture of ESL & ASL)... but normally I would sign, with eyebrows raised in a question-like expression, "CAN ME GO WITH YOU?"
