With all due respect, you are wrong. Jesus was condemed by his own people. The Roman tried to set Jesus free cause they knew he was not guilty of anything. But they had a tradition that allowed the Jewish people to choose who they wanted to be crucified and who to be set free. The Roman did not want Jesus to be killed but he did what the jews wanted done and crucified Jesus.

Due respect, I saw different as you.

Question:

Who arrest Jesus? Jesus´s people or Roman soliders?

Answer: Roman soliders.

Who sent to arrest Jesus?

Answer: Caesar and Roman relgious leaders.

Who want Jesus dead in first place?

Answer: Roman Religious leaders.

Who persuaded casear to sentence Jesus to death?

Answer: Roman relgious leaders.

Who disagreed with Roman Relgious leaders for sentenced Jesus to death?

Answer: Casear.

Who suggest Casear to leave people decide either they want to see Jesus dead or not?

Answer: Roman relgious leaders

Who accused Jesus as blasphemy?

Answer: Roman Relgious leaders/priests

Who influence Jesus´s people negative over Jesus?

Answer: Roman Relgious leaders/priests.

Who got Roman Relgious leaders/priests and people decide which Barabbas or Jesus, should he free for them?

Answer: Casear.

Casear want to question Jesus himself "Are you King of Isreal"? Jesus replied: Yes. Casear said nothing and ask his Server to bring a bowl for him to wash his hands and then said to Roman Reglious Leaders and the people that they can do what they wants with Jesus because he has nothing do with Jesus and went off.

Relgious leader shout to the people... Barabbas or Jesus... People shout for want to see Jesus dead. Relgious leaders decided for nailed him on the cross......

The blasphemy is the reason why Jesus was being sentenced to death. The roman relgious leaders were after Jesus for years and noticed that his people beleive in Jesus more than casear and roman relgoius leaders.

All what I answer is: Roman relgious leaders are the responsible for Jesus´s death.

This is exactly why I'm confused here Liebling, I have absolutely no idea where you got this information from.. When Jesus stood before Pilate, he asked Jesus "Are you the King of the Jews?" , Jesus answered "Yes, I am" and when the leading priests and the older leaders accused Jesus for a lot of things, so Pilate asked Jesus "Don't you hear these people accusing you of all these things?" but Jesus said nothing. yet Pilate was very surprised. but leading priest and the older leaders told the crowd of people to ask for Barabbas to be freed and for Jesus to be killed. Pilate said "I have Barabbas and Jesus, which do you want me to set free for you? " The people answered "Barabbas!". then Pilate asked, "What should I do with Jesus, the one called the Christ?" The people answered "Kill him on a cross!"

Pilate saw that he could do nothing about this and a riot was starting, so he took some water and washed his hands in front of the crowd and then said " I am not guilty of this man's death, you and the ones who are causing it!"

As you can see the leading priests and the older leaders were jealous of Jesus, they felt threat by His power, they want people to look up to them not Jesus.

Pilate? Do you mean casear?

Yes, exactly that Jesus was being accussed for blasphemy.

Yes, Roman reglious leaders/priests are jealous of Jesus because the people depend on him, not them, That´s why they use blasphemy as an excuse to accuse Jesus.

I think Liebling did not know the Religious Leaders were the Jewish, she might thought they were Roman Religous Leaders. :giggle: I thought that was cute.
´

I thought to myself to use those word as general without name which relgious and which race they have case ADers would be offend because they are jew and would bash us... I prefer to not say or name which relgoius and race... :x

Then what happened?

Jesus was bound and taken to Pontius Pilate. (Mark 15:1-5; Mat. 27:2, 11-14; Luke 23:1-5; John 18:28-38)

Pilate did not judge Jesus for blasphemy. Pilate was a political leader, not a religious leader.

Pilate had the government authority to make the final decision of execution. He allowed the people one last chance to save Jesus from that judgment. The people chose to free Barabbas instead of Jesus. (Mark 15:6-15; Mat. 27:15-26; Luke 23:13-25; John 18:39-19:16)

Pilate, the Roman governor, surrendered to the will of the Jewish people in the crowd.

The temple that Jesus was speaking of was himself. He died and then was arose on the 3rd day. He died on a Friday and arose on Sunday. By our calender, that is 2 days however by the jew's calender at the time, it was 3 days later. That is why we observe Easter. That is the day that Jesus arose.

The temple was not destroyed till years later. I don't remember how many years later but I'm thinking 70 something years later.

Could it be that you're thinking of the veil that was ripped in the temple when Jesus died?

Eventually some Jews did believe in Jesus while other's didn't think Jesus was God. Just like today, some believe and some don't.

Ohhhhh!!! I thought the temple is where the Jewish Religious Leaders live, because I remember Jesus state that he taught at the temple.

And when Jesus died on the cross a bad storm and earthquake came, it did broke the Jewish Religious Leaders home in half.

But it will only confused the public when you say its the "Roman" Relgious Leaders when they are really the "Jewish" Relgious Leaders, I don't see how it would offended the jewish because it's the truth. You can't avoid the truth, nobody can. :)

The Temple building didn't break in half. The curtain that separated the Holy area from the public area tore in half, top to bottom. That showed that God removed the separation that was between Him and His people. That means that people can go directly to God instead of going thru the priest.

Matthew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;

(The "veil" means the large curtain (drape), "rent" means torn, and "twain" means two pieces.)

That's right. We shouldn't tamper with the facts just to fit today's political correctness.

You reminds me so much of those Jews Religious Leaders that told Jesus while being nailed to the cross that if he was the son of God the promise Messiah he would come down from that cross to prove to them that he is who he says he is. You're no better than they are.

U judged me. tsk tsk no christans shall judged others so u are no different from them also.

In the Old Testment, we were all infected with the sin virus, because of Adam and Eve and the penalty of sin is death, the only way to save us all is the promise messiah to suffice as payment for all our sins, the blood of a sinless person. Jesus did not have to go through all this for us and God did not have to send his son to die for the sins of Mankind. But God did, and Jesus agreed to do God's will. This should just tell you and show you How much God and Jesus loves us. We owe them our life, because of what they did for us. So enough with the mockery.

We all always blame on Adam and Eve for our own sins. Yes our own sins caused our death but who want to live here on earth always in same body and mind. sooo boring.

Why do u called Jesus, his son instead of His Son? Himself send Himself to be human being and He would never die because He is God. He already made plan to be killed and came back to alive long before this world was created. Image this if Jesus Christ never be killled, He would be still here alive 2 thousand years old. Reason I said committed suicide, He would have walk away from where He was arrested but instead He stayed and waited to be arrested and to be killed. It is no different from any of us if we drink too much alochol or do drugs, we kill our own body, to me this is committed suicide.

This is one reason why we should never open this religion forum back on because u have your own belief and still do not accept me for my own belief. yet u compared me to Jewish fellowers. U do not know me at all and yet u judged me harshly.

You all are missing my point, I already know all that you said, please tell me something that I do not know, none of you had answered my questions I listed a few questions on my first post.

Listen, at the begin of the movie Passion of Christ, Jesus was praying he was afraid tell me why?? Because he can see what is going to happen to him? How he will be stoned, how he will be abused, how he will be nailed to the cross? I know he did it for us when he did not have to, but that's not the point that I'm trying to say in other words, It was them who made the decision to do the things to Jesus, we weren't there to cheer along and shout to kill Jesus were we? No.

Passion of Christ was created by Mel Gibson who is supposed to be Catholic and I do not think many conservative Christians do follow this movie as Catholic people do.

It is a story Mel Gibson to make a movie trying to be exactly alike what he believes. I had a vision of HIm dying on the cross and saw him being beaten by Roman soldiers alike I was there to witness His death. Mel Gibson's movie and my own are not exactly same.

I can understand your p.o.v. or reasoning, however, with Christ, the difference being that His death was a living sacrifice. He sacrificed Himself in order to acheive 'victory' over the wages of sin, the penalty of sin. God's Love for all of us paved the way for Christ to obediently 'go' to the Cross. It is not a form of what some may think it's called a suidical act, simply, His Sacrifice.

It has nothing to do with beliefs, It had something to do with how you were mockery Jesus, If you believe in Jesus like you say you do then you would never mocked at the fact that he should have done what you think he should have done.

Pontius Pilate only did what he was told to. But yes, he couldn't live with that decision so later on, he wandered around the lands and then later on killed himself.

As for the Jewish leaders, they saw Jesus as a threat because Jesus with God's help could heal people and recruit them to God's cause. The Jews didn't want that to happen.

Good posting, Reba.

Now I'm not going to say anymore in this thread.

Who betrayed Jesus to the soldiers?

Judas, one of Jesus' 12 apostles, betrayed Him to the soldiers. (Mark 14:43-52; Mat. 26:47-56; Luke 22:47-53; John 18:2-12)

Who paid Judas for this betrayal?

The chief priests and Pharisees. (Mark 14:10-11; Mat. 26:14-16; Luke 22:3-6)

Yes, that's right.

Who were the chief priests and Pharisees?

They were religious leaders of the Jews.

Due with respect, I prefer to not name which race religious leaders have but Roman's religious leaders or Religious leaders who work for Roman authorities. (I should say in my early post "Roman's relgious leaders").

Who judged Jesus?

Jesus was first questioned by Annas, the former high priest of the Jews, and then Caiaphas, high priest of the Jews. (John 18:12-23) (mark 14:53, 55-65; Mat. 26:57, 59-68; Luke 22:54, 63-65; John 18:24)

What did they accuse Jesus of doing?

The priests accused Jesus of committing blasphemy. (same references above)

:ty: for confirmed my point about Jesus who was being accused for commit blasphemy by Relgious leaders in my previous posts.

Who officially condemned Jesus?

The members of the Sanhedrin. (Mark 15:1; Mat. 27:1; Luke 22:66-71)

Who were they?

They were the chief priests, elders, and scribes of the Jews; that is, the Jewish religious leaders.

Really?

Jewish laws on capital trials are found in texts almost two centuries
after the death of Jesus (M. Sanh. 4-11)
, so it is not known whether
they reflect first-century practice. By these norms the trial in Mark
is not legal, since according to the Mishnah capital trials could not
be held at night or on the eve of a Sabbath or feast day (M. Sanh.
4:1). The sentence of death could not be pronounced on the same day as
the trial (M. Sanh. 4:1); prior examination of witnesses, as well as
independent agreement of their testimony, was required (M. Sanh. 4:5;
cf. Deut. 19:15-18); the charge of blasphemy required the explicit
pronouncing of the divine name (M. Sanh. 7:5); and trials were to be
held in the official chamber, not in the house of the high priest (M.
Sanh. 11:2; cf. Mark 14:54). Also uncertain is whether the Sanhedrin
had the power to execute for capital offenses during Roman occupation
(see John 18:31). If so, Jesus should have been stoned, which was the
Jewish penalty for blasphemy
.

Question 16.5: Did the Jews kill Jesus?

That's why I call "Roman's relgious leaders" instead of name which race they have because they work for Roman authorities. I still would say that Roman's relgious leaders were responsiblity for Jesus's innoncent death.

It could be not possible that jewish are responsiblilty for Jesus's death because there're no Jewish law at Roman time.

Yes, that's right.

Who physically abused and beat Jesus?

Who led Jesus to the crucifixion site, and put Him on the cross?

The Roman soldiers. (Mark 15:20-23; Mat. 27:31-34; Luke 23:26-33; John 19:16-17)

The Roman soldiers. (Mark 15:16-19; Mat. 27:27-30)

The Roman soliders only doing their job what Roman authorities told them to.

Who mocked Jesus on the cross?
The chief priests, scribes, elders, rulers, soldiers, and people. (Mark 15:24-32; Mat. 27:35-44; Luke 23:33-43; John 19:18-27)

Yes

Anyway, Jesus was killed by Roman authorities because they were on their Relgious leaders side and then listen people against Jesus.
