perhaps now they should be treated as domestic terrorists. 8 people arrested. 1 killed by cop - LaVoy Finicum.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/26/us/oregon-wildlife-refuge-siege-arrests/index.html
Finicum was one of the most outspoken occupiers who took over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns on January 2 to protest federal land policies.

Earlier this month, he said he'd rather be killed than arrested.

"Absolutely ... I have no intention of spending any of my days in a concrete box," he told NBC News. "There are things more important than your life, and freedom is one of them. I'm prepared to defend freedom."

All eight people arrested face a federal felony charge relating to their occupation of the refuge: conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation or threats, authorities said.

I guess all the folks calling for their deaths can get their thrills now that one of them was shot 3 times in the back (while on his knees with his hands up).

Who was calling for their deaths? That's terrible!

Some people in comment area over news websites, The Huffington Post is one of them and they treat right wing militias as domestic terrorist.

There has been a "call to arms" by Operation Mutual Defense. They are a network of militia groups. The new leader of the stand off is Jason Patrick. He is claiming they are dug in, and they can see an armored convoy parked outside of the refuge.

From the "buzz" on the internet, the driver of Bundy's car is claiming Finicum (the 55 year old who was killed) was driving a separate vehicle when they got pulled over, Finicum continuied to drive away, encountered a road block which he attempted to drive around. His truck got stuck in the snow, and when he was approached by LEO, he "charged them" and was shot.

How he (Bundy's driver) was able to determine this while being detained a mile away is anyone's guess. But his story matches that of LEO's (that is a hint there). I guess he was promised leniency if he testifies to this.

In my opinion, Finicum was specifically targeted and will be dragged through the gutter.

The other more prominent version, is Bundy called his wife and claimed that Finicum was surrendering and was on his knees with both hands up and was shot execution style in the back three times.

This is (supposedly) a first hand eyewitness account from the 18 year old girl who was traveling with the group inside of the pickup truck Finicum was driving:

Now, I am HoH and am not sure if the captions on the video are everything that is being said - maybe one of our hearing members can confirm?

I'm willing to give this a small benefit of doubt. It could be that Finicum made it like he was reaching for a gun even though he was unarmed in order to incite the situation.

or yes perhaps he was gunned down by overly-eager trigger-happy cops who hate these guys.

I don't know but this entire situation is becoming just like James Rawles book - Patriots. In the book, a group of patriots were gunned down by federal agents as a cover-up for illegal government activity/agenda and the news was manipulated to make it look like they were domestic terrorists so that the public would pay no heed to it and just scoff it off as "another gun nuts" case.

Jiro, from talking to you over the years, I kind of figured you would want to take a look at this article:

http://www.bluemountaineagle.com/Lo...rests-of-occupation-leaders-at-fbi-road block

This account matches that of Victoria Sharp. Why McConnell would tell a different story altogether is unclear. But ... the Feds have been known to break a deal with someone if they were willing to lie publicly.

Who knows what happened? All I know is that there has been a huge attempt to portray this father of 11 as some sort of crazy tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist nutbag, and he was the one they specifically targeted.

When the U.S. Government feels they can murder a citizen that is confronting them about their own illegal activities, then it is time to remove corruption from government.

p.s. the link will not post correctly unless the words road and block have no space between them

Just ask Janet Reno . . . oops, I mean Loretta Lynch.

I have no sympathy for anyone got arrested or died over illegal takeover of federal building. If they don't want to be arrested or died so they shouldn't takeover of federal building to demand about what they want.

It could be resolved in state or federal legislative action, if you have problem with FBI or BLM (federal) so you could file the complaint with internal affair or sue them in court over constitutionality of action. If majority of Americans support public lands that under federal control so there is nothing for militias to do but they could buy private lands in interior east - outside of BLM's hand.

I'm sure some of them are collecting welfare or disability check, especially SSDI. Jon Ritzheimer is one of them that hate government and collecting SSDI check.

I have a lot of problem with corruption in cities and our state, but I can't occupy the city hall to make major change so sadly, many citizens in our city don't care and sticking with corrupted politicians.

What if the Legislators doing legislative action are the ones breaking the law?

How is that addressed?

that's not how it works. just because someone broke the law doesn't mean someone deserves to get gunned down.

heard of "if you don't wanna get shot or beat up by cops... then don't commit a crime"? basically.... what you're saying is it's your fault even if cop did something illegal on you such as excessive force, unjustified shooting, etc.

I don't say that anyone deserve to be gunned down, but if you are resisting the arrest and beat police officer up so there will be high chance for you to be gunned down by police officer like in Michael Brown's case.

I don't believe that militias groups are productive citizens and they go after federal government, especially takeover of federal properties so they don't care about their life but they prefer to die for fighting the freedom over surrender to FBI. I'm enough with militias that make a lot of troubles, even same goes with thugs in urban area. I'm not concerned if police officers or FBI went over the authority, that's their problem, not mine.

Stay out of trouble and follow police's command, that's not hard to do it.

what troubles have these militia groups caused for you?

you're not concerned with feds abusing their power or overstretching its hand beyond its legal parameter? now that's a serious concern... you chose to do nothing about it. so you're like one of those bystanders who would watch a victim getting hurt by a criminal and say "not my problem!"

aren't you also fed up with feds abusing their power or overstretching its hand beyond its legal parameter?

They got a lot of attention on news that annoyed me and it isn't fair for citizens who cannot make anything that similar to them, without consequence.

No, I don't find any problems with FBI, but I do have problem with local and state.
