I asked my girlfriend to marry me and she said no. was one of the happiest moments of my life! I'm so happy that I celebrated the tenth anniversary ....

Wondering if I can get wifi on the plane? Someone told me that I can get wifi and have it streamed to my IPad so I can watch the first World Series game. Anyone know if this actually works, is it worth it?

Funny you mention that. I saw an advertisement about that for American Airlines at Ogilvie the other day, and they DO have wifi on their planes. Now I'm not sure which airline you're taking, but that is what I saw.

Wifi costs money on the plane... and I doubt it has capable speed for streaming. I flew in United and the plane brochure explained about wifi and says it is not recommended for video or streaming on the flight.

United non stop. With the time difference I might be able to catch maybe two hours of the game. Definitely would keep me occupied since I hate flying. My daughter told me about this but I thought maybe it was just on longer flights. Not quite sure how well it would work on my IPad. I guess I could look it up. Just curious if anyone has tried it?

On United website:

If you purchase an Internet plan on board, you can surf the Internet and send emails. Please note that we do not allow the use of our onboard Internet service for voice communication or videoconferencing through a cell phone, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) or any similar device or service. Voice and video calls are expressly prohibited.

Hmm. I've heard about passengers using personal hotspots on airplanes. Maybe check into one of those? Just my two cents.

You're welcome, if your plane have the behind the seat entrainment (small tv) you could watch the game on live satellite... although it costs money. I watched the game on one of the trip and it provided caption thru setting on the screen.

I thought it sounded too good to be true. Thank's for the info.

That would be so cool. Maybe the airline will have the game on, we are afterall in California. I have a backup plan just in case. My husband is going to ask his sister to record the game for us. I'm also going to record all the games at my home so I can rewatch them when we get back. Post season is so much fun to watch. Stressful, but fun. If the series goes seven games I might even be back for that.

I was on a brand new 787 plane to Houston during Memorial Day to see my dad. This is what they have behind the seat looks like... very nifty!

787 is typically long haul plane... it was going to Europe after my trip to Houston.

I'm sure we will be crammed in like usual. We always book seats in the very last row on the plane. Usually luck out and get an empty seat in between us since most people hate sitting back there. I like it because you can get up, stretch your legs, without bothering anyone.

I've seen pictures of some planes with beautiful reclining seats etc. When I broke my leg in Maui, the flight home was so uncomfortable. The airline was trying to get someone in first class to trade with us, but no one would do it. Luckily I was still on good drugs after just being released from the hospital. Funny though, the stewardess told us that if there was an emergency, we were to sit still as we would be the last people off the plane.
