why is Jehovah witness knocking on my door

I am afraid not . LOL! Get a big mean looking dog . A UPS guy was afraid of my black standard poodle , the guy refuses to bring the dog crate into my condo when he saw Finlay . Finlay was a big goof ball .
 
Two JW women came to my door one day. They said that they were told a deaf woman lived at my address. I told them no, I was hearing. I asked them who told them I was deaf. They said it was a neighbor. I knew that was a lie because all my neighbors know me, and they know that I'm hearing. I suspect they got information from some other source that was signing/ASL/deaf connected, and assumed that I was deaf. I belong to deaf organizations, so that could be the link.

At my last primary interpreting job, another interpreting agency, owned by JW's, took over the contract. Several of my former clients complained to me that the interpreters were aggressively proselytizing. The agency offered me a job but I turned them down. (I also was turned off by their unethical billing practices.)
 
I'd invite them I for dinner. The holy ones taste truly Devine! Rawr!

The reason dogs bark at the delivery people is because the mail, delivery folks etc are actually reinforcing the behavior.
What dog thinks is this:
Threat approaches my territory
Bark to scare them away
Threat leaves my territory.
Repeat daily...

I did not say my dog was barking ,the guy was afraid of Finlay b/c he was big black dog and he actually small for a male dog . A lot of people are afraid of black dogs . Once Finlay saw the guy he was OK with him my dog did not feel threaten by the UPS guy so that was why I was going let him in my condo. I trusted Finlay judgment of people , he was very good at it.
 
JW is nothing but a bunch of stalkers.... I got a piece of mail from them a couple weeks ago, which pissed me off. I'm so far beyond fed up with the local JW organization harassing and stalking the local deaf community. Enough is ENOUGH! Their connection to get info on deaf.. is through Vocational Rehab cause there is a counselor there that is a JW herself. Several of us have complained to VR about her sharing our personal information with the JW church and trying to con some deaf clients into joining the church.

Her doing that could result in termination for sharing personal info, which is a big no-no if working for a government office. She could also lose her license to work in this kind of field, as well.

well... several of us deafies shared our complaints and concerns end of May, and it's apparent this moron is still working at V.R. I did shoot off an email to the boss today after seeing this post and remembering the letter. A couple of the deafies who recently moved here even were pressured by this specific counselor to join the JW church, and they definitely made that clear with the boss as well. She was never my counselor, thankfully, but this has seriously been going on for years (I started getting badgered by JW years ago, at my job, later at the last apartment I was at, and now I'm getting mail at my current apartment, AUGH!). I wrote a rather nasty note on THEIR letter and mailed it back to them, hopefully they effin' get the hint this time.

Hmm. If they don't, you may have a strong case for violation of sharing personal info, and you could also have a strong case for harassment, too, and I suspect that as long as she keeps working there, it's not gonna stop, and if it doesn't, and you hear more than just a few, then there's bigger problems. I am glad she never was your counselor, so that's a good thing.
 
:mad2: The congregation in Oak Park just does not give up. They just called the Pubic VP on the 2nd Floor, and I know exactly what they want-- they want to talk to my senior citizen roommate, and they can forget that happening. She does not need the harassment from them whatsoever.

What can you do to prevent it?
 
At best- block the number they're calling from.

About the only thing I can do is just ignore it. And don't tell her that they are looking for her, cause she made it quite clear she wanted nothing to do with them. And blocking the number isn't an option, because it's a Public VP, but on my ntouch PC and ntouch tablet/mobile we are allowed to do so. Any videophones under our own names we can do as we please, but those under Thresholds' name we can't do anything with.

I was at a client's house and JW came and my client asked me to get the door and tell them stop to bothering him. JW where harassing my poor client by going to his house all time. The poor guy had trouble walking and JW did not care. I was as rude as they where but I bet that did not stop them from going back. I had a few elder clients being harassed by JW.
 
Ask them if they would care to serve as a human sacrifice.

There is a JW group that is harassing my wife at her work, and have even found our address. She no longer answers the door when they come visiting.

Sometimes I do, and I have chatted with them a few times. They are mostly harmless (one time, the women that showed up had their husbands hiding in a van down the street).

Another time, it was a group of young late teen women and they kept peeking into my house as I was talking to them. Kind of creepy.

I know what they are about ... and I remain friendly and courteous. I allow them to give their presentation before telling them I have already found Christ, and that he was hiding under my living room sofa.

p.s. I have seen how my dad handles them .... he yells "Stop right there!!! Do not take a step closer, turn around and go away!!!" and they would go "uh .. uh" and he would then start shouting at them "You are not welcome on my property, GO AWAY!!"


I didn't know who they were and thought my dad was just being very rude. he explained to me that they were JW's and that was the only way he deals with them.
 
Maybe we should get an address list of our local JW's and just drop by and see how they are doing? At all random hours of the day .. :hmm:

They'll call the cops and say you're trespassing on THEIR property . I posted about a guy that got lost and pulled into JW driveway to call his friend and a JW came out within seconds tell the guy he was trespassing and they'll call the cops. I told some JW if that they're trespassing and if they come one more time I will call the cops. That helped , I did get something when a JW moved into the next building for a while. I like you dad way of getting rid of JW. They don't like people going onto their property but it's OK for them to trespass ! Talk about double standard .
