I opened the door to let Marley in and was greeted by two HUGE skunks. OMG that was a close call. Friggin little stinkers.

:shock:......:laugh2:....Guessing Marley brought them back home for a snack?...Had a Posseum in my house once...ugly creature!...
 
Nothing like walking across your yard before dawn in the dark and realizing you are standing next to a skunk. It took me three steps to get back in the house. Then, the stupid thing decided to hole up underneath my truck. :shock:
 
I don't know why, but skunks have been a huge problem in our area for the last two years. A few months back, hubby was taking Marley for a walk. He didn't have his glasses on and thought a cat was coming up to say hi. Then he saw the stripe and backed up very carefully. Last summer we had two baby skunks hide under our deck. These might be the same two, just a lot bigger. I definitely do not want to get any closer to those stinkers.

Animal Control finally set up skunk traps last summer but it does not look like they are working very well.
 
Last summer I went out to the deck to get one of my kitties in for the night. I saw a critter walking in the yard & realized it was a skunk. Before picking up kitty (she was laying on a chair) I sniffed her to make sure she had not been sprayed.
I don't let my kitties stay out at night because I know there are critters (skunks, raccoons, etc) roaming around after dark.
 
Thinking how excited I am to go to Washington DC to go to the Spy museum for a Deaf/hoh event. I will see a former ADer, TheWriteAlex , there today. :)

I have trapped several skunks over the years at work. Using a live trap and fish flavored cat food is the best way to go I have found. You can get about ten feet or so from them to shoot them in the trap. Any closer than that you are just asking to be sprayed lol.
 
We got to Facetime with our daughter in Ireland today. I held up a candle and we sang happy birthday to her. So nice to see her, she looks very relaxed after their visit to Spain. Murphy, her dog, was so excited to see me and hear my voice. He gave me a big wet kiss on my daughters computer monitor. I miss them all so much.

Looks like a Hell's Angels biker ... due to gas price increases they had to down size their bikes to mopeds, scooters or mini bikes :laugh2:

Thinking about how people say Spanish and Romanian are the same.... HOW?! I'mm reading a "You CAN Learn Spanish" book as we speak and IT IS NOT THE SAME!!!!! Here I thought Spanish would be easy but NooOoOoOOoooOOooooooo.... :roll: Just keep thinking, extra pay, extra pay, extra pay.... :doh:
