What are you thinking about? Part VI

Thinking about the IBM sponsored BMW driving event yesterday. It was a blast, even though I was pretty conservative. First I drove an M3 through a course with slalom and sharp turns. We got to do 4 laps. Then we drove a 650 on a wet track with traction control off. They put us on opposite sides of the circle and we "chased" each other for 4 laps to see who caught up or finished 4 first. Spin out was a disqualification. The instructor was insulting us the whole time to get us to push faster. Each race, one person was eliminated till we had a winner. Then, they let us go on a longer course with a nice straight of way and good turns to do 4 laps in an X6 M, 750, M5, 125, M3 and z4M. Finally we rode with an instructor while they whipped us around in an M3 doing drifts, sharp turns, straightaways.

I did not know people where allowed to live in a public park. I was at the park today and yesterday and there where some blankets on a bench. A cop was there on detail work and I asked him if anything could be done about getting rid of the blankets the homeless people left on the bench, and the cop said the men have a right to live there. WTF! The park is right next the
historic district and there homes that are 100 years plus old and that mayor is after people that own historic houses , the mayor want the homes to be controlled so they stay historical looking , at the same time is OK from homeless men to live right across the streets. This made no sense to me.

If the shelters are full...they will find some place to lay down their weary heads....even outside of the White House, homeless burn fires in big drums to keep warm....even I, when I was homeless, slept in a Park and never was ran out of it.....If the homeless do create problems or crimes, they will be asked to "move on"....

i am confused, you said both -tired or lots energy, which one?
did you mean sick of work, same as tired of work?

Watched the season finale of The Office and Grey's Anatomy. Cried my eyes out like a big baby. Now I can't sleep.......tic toc tic toc tic toc.......

Anyone else watch??? Besides the CC being awful, I thought both shows were great.

Thinking about watching the Matrix movie. Dunno. Never seen it, but for long time I've resisted it (because Colorado High School shooters watched the movie few weeks prior, and, um, the movie had something to do with Zion).

Feedback?

Thinking about how I hope I know which class to teach next year before the school year is over so I can plan my lessons for the whole year during the summer. That way I can relax more at work since our planning time has been cut drastically.

nah, its a sci-fi, yea 'bullet time' is in the film but has Nothing to do with modern day people gone amok which happens 15 years after the matrix...i mean 15 years!...thats 5 years short of 20....it cant relate and it doesn't.

its a good man vs machine sci-fi (weill humans vs computers, kind of like the teriminators sequeals, but this time, its all IN the computer, much like Tron... but with a bit of murky reality-making problems inside the film, ... it's a good long flicks in 3 parts.

Thinking of a long time friend who I hadn't seen in a long time....and she gave me back my movie..."The Lost Boys"...that she borrowed years ago!....Had forgotton about it...even tho' the movie was one of my fav's.....Gonna watch it again tonight!...If anyone who hasn't seen it...then I'd recommend it (if you like Vampire movies).

One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires.

Off to Vancouver Monday. Looks like it'll be cool and drizzly. Going to be a nice break to work out of the office for a week!
