Jailbreak for iOS 6

The tethering isn't illegal, so it isn't crime.

You missed my post - many people talk about tethering on public forum.

Incorrect, it is a crime. It is theft of service criminally and it is breech of contract civilly. The problem is that it is difficult and expensive to prosecute/sue everyone. That is our point. Because people are choosing to be dishonest and break the terms of their contract the only reasonable solution was to pass the cost of that theft on to all of the honest consumers. So, this theft ends up being from honest customers rather than from the company.

You can believe whatever you want.

Time for move on.

Does work without tethering plan?

If so, it looks someone lied to me.

Let tethering for around 10-20 minutes, so at&t usually stop tethering from working for customers with no tethering plan.

Old Atrix OS doesn't have it because that was very long time ago around late 2010 or early 2011. That is why I said since newer version my other post. Since past few years all popular androids I've seen have included tether option default in settings.

Do you know any more phones without tether? Old phone OS don't count.

Do you understand my question? I'm talking about customers WITHOUT tethering plan. Are you saying that tethering works for Android without tethering plan?

I found a link.

Think about it this way. When people jump on the subway they are not costing anybody anything, right? I mean, the subway is going the same place whether or not they pay, right?

Wrong. Subway fares are based on ridership. People jumping turnstiles lowers the paid ridership. So for the honest riders who pay their fare, they are paying a fare based on a lower number than actual ridership. Essentially the person jumping the turnstile didn't steal from the transit system. They stole from each and every rider on that train.

We can move on, but this is not a belief....it is fact. Unquestionable fact.

Not all facts are clear.

Ride on public transportation without paying is obviously illegal.

I'm not interested to continue to discuss about between law and tethering - moving on.

would it be possible if you can just simply ignore his posts and not reply to it?

it takes 2 to tango....

He got my attention very easily, really easily.

Perhaps, but THESE facts are. We know this because we can see how Verizon has responded and we can see how AT&T is continuing to fight.

See #107.

That's enough for me.

Do you understand my question? I'm talking about customers WITHOUT tethering plan. Are you saying that tethering works for Android without tethering plan?
Yes I understood. It doesn't matter if customer has tethering plan or not. Do you understand my point it is android phones by default?

Yes, android can work without tethering plan even on official phone UNROOTED. So what's the point?

If you read your link: it worked for him stock without rooting and default OS. It stopped working later, we don't know what happened. It's usual. If you go over data limit with android you will lose it. But that doesn't matter, it's still included in phone by default OS.

I have an unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus that I bought online and am using on att. When I first got the device, I tried all the features, including tethering, and was excited to see them all working as they should. Untouched, pure, android experience.

Anyway, I tried to do so today, and I couldn't get any internet connection. I tried both usb tethering and wifi tethering, and it just doesn't seem to work. Everything connects just fine, but there is simply no internet access. (But the data on the phone itself is working just fine.)

Do you have anymore phone names?

By following your argument - same with Apple - the personal hotspot (official tethering) works without jailbreaking.

I prefer to use third party hotspot because of more features.

I'm more comfortable with environment of iOS, but the jailbreaking allows me to explore more options to modify the OS. :)

Android isn't bad, but I have complaint about some apps are not work on all phone or have compatibility issue, such as bugs on some phone. iOS has similar issue from iOS 4 to iOS 5, iOS 5 to iOS 6 but those case are rare because developers fix it.

we get it and we know what your stance is. so move on and sssshhhh about unauthorized tethering or theft of service. as far as I'm concerned.... jailbreaking new iphones after Jan. 26th is now illegal.

I am confused by your part. I bought my iphone 5 two months ago. If I want to jailbreak my iphone 5, it should be legal?

For me, I prefer tethering for a good reason (depending on the signal bar, lack of personal hotspot, and facetime over 3G, 4G, and LTE).

2 months means Dec 14 so you are fine. :)

Yup, I understand about you need jailbreaking.
