Why, why, why does this person constantly try to get me to "work" for the company she is with. She claims you can work from home and even if you are on SSI, you can still earn as much as you want without messing it up. The quote I got was up to $4500 a month in wages. All I would have to do, is allow their foreign, overseas customers to send money to me, I deposit it into my checking account, and then after taking a cut, send the rest to this company. Now, I worked for too many years for the Better Business Bureau and worked closely with the Florida Attorney General's Office and the Securities and Exchange Commission that I know this is not right. This is the third time she has contacted me and I've been contacted by her "boss" twice. Originally, I got this female's Skype name from here on AD for ASL buddies. She isn't wanting to learn ASL, she's recruiting people for her company. I will be removing her from Skype and blocking her now.

You should post her name so everyone knows to watch out for her.
 
Perhaps still cheaper on EBay with "custom duties" than retail here in Canada-possible? Note: I don't buy on E Bay at all.

Report her to the authorities. You know it's some type of scam. Give them her contact info.

Ever bought things online from the US before? the Fedex bill can be shocking...there's shipping fees, broker fees (yep! they don't tell you that when they ship your item) and custom and duties fees. One is much better off ordering from within Canada unless they shop from this website: Borderfree

New random vent about my sucky family. A family member would neither take nor return my phone calls. I called on phone even though I can't hear well. This same family member has time and effort to leave a nice long message on FB for my cousin. This family member is angry at me for not attending a family gathering this weekend. I'm not going because medical issues make it too difficult to travel and this person is fully aware of this.
I'm sick of my family members treating me like sh*t. I'm already estranged from my mom & sibling because they are mean to me. Looks like I have to add this person to the list. *sigh*
I'm really grateful for my hubby & kids who treat me well. And kind friends.

I am so grateful also to have a SO who is so kind and treats me so well. Never has he made me feel "small" like others do.

My relationship with my parents is rather distant. Mom gives me grief about using (or NOT using) the telephone and gave me grief that she "had to learn how to text me". Yes, I realize she's older and not up to speed on technology, but .... Mom, you have a deaf daughter!

My best friend of 25 years would still keep calling and leaving messages on my phone even after knowing I hate the relay service and prefer to get emails. She was terrible at replying to emails because she hates computers and is a technophone. doesn't own a cell either. Then finally, I just got fed up and just simply didn't call her back. then after a few weeks, she asked how come she hadn't heard from me in a while and I said "you never answered my email."

she got the point. never called again and now answers emails or sends me one if she wanted to get together.
 
A stupid toffee candy made me lose a big filling from a molar last night. Damn it! I first cracked that same tooth by eating a brownie filled with rock hard walnuts. I hate dentists :(

My mother had to give up Tootsie rolls a long time ago as they would always remove her fillings.
 
For canadians, ask the seller (if it's an individual) to mark the postage as a gift. Although this is subject to morals if you agree with this is right or not, it does save you the customs fees.

When I ship to canada (ebayer for 10 years), I always ask my customers whether they'd like it marked as a gift with an imposed price or not, just out of goodwill.

You chicken shit. :lol: You afraid of dentist b/c of needles and other tools.
Find a health department b/c some have dentist clinic. I had 3 tooth fillings in Dec/Jan/Feb and charged me 60 dollars a filling. I dont know how to explain this, they charge you what your income is. I had to travel 40 miles one way.

I almost lost one tooth because one of the fillings was very deep filling.
 
I detest going to the dentist since they cannot give me anything to numb the area due to my extreme allergies. I can't deal with the pain. I deal with enough other pain on a daily basis I don't need extra from the dentist.
