I have 7 yrs experience in Photoshop from version 5 thru 7 (current one, I am use). Therefore, I thought I could help you out with something you couldn't handle or need new way.

To Rookies: Don't worry, it's not always for Mac, it can be Windows, too. Since, they are pretty same.

Cool. Now that's what I'm talking about. I'll pitch in, if you don't mind. I also have many years of Photoshop experience, from v3.0, to the latest version 7. I am still learning many new things about the newest version of Photoshop. It is one powerful program, I'll say.

I don't need your help, Sam but thanks for it. I always learn how to use Photoshop from my hands, nobody taught me how to use it.

I notice your signature appear as 49kb. I can make that image in same size, same quality at only 27kb

I suggest you don't save at 100% all the time, when you make compare between 100 and 80 as long they look much same, if necessary. Thereofore, I expect for you to kind give respect to dial-up users to save their time.

Note for Illustrator: I have Photoshop's first version 1.0 as well I have their Postscript version before that. I have been an Adobe user long before most... it really has been fun to see how Photoshop has grown over the years.

I thought you would appeciate the fact I still have Photoshop 1.0 and all versions between then and now. I think Adobe owes me some kind of reward for being a long time customer ;)

All good anyway...
Cheers

I m using PS 7.0, but i admit im drifting to Macromedia's Fireworks MX. (Got the MX bundle free from a previous job of mine that didnt fall through) Do you think theres a big of a difference between FW and PS?

I am using the Photoshop 7.0 from 2.0 in my lifetime. Steveboy, here the picture that itself 17k which looks clear and normal. Since your is darker. However, there are still dial up out there. Give them a chance to able see all picture. If you decide to do on your way and then no one will appericate with your work. However, illustrator is offer to help people who still trouble with Photoshop. So, there you are that picture is 7 second for dail up to see that picture. :o

Firework have best feature for web. Photoshop mean for the best media print, however, after Photoshop 5.0 it has been improve to made for web. Also... for Photoshop, it come with different brush to use, which more like for retouch and edit picture. It seem that Photoshop does more job than Firework does.

im currently on progressing learning how to use adobe photoshop 7, i know most of it but i haven't know all of the features yet

I use PS 6 and I love it. I use it to improve digital images (adjusting levels, reducing chroma noise, improving skin tones, etc) and develop web graphics.

I've been learning a lot with Photoshop. Improving myself with a lot of things lately.

I now have PhotoShop 7. still learning though but it's fun to try something new and creative in that software program.

is Photoshop free to download or what ??? i would love to learn all about it and i dont have the program yet.

All I can say is: Thank goodness for Layers in Adobe Photoshop!!!

Without Layers, we'd have nothin' to work with!!! :D

Sometimes I use channels if dealing with color noise or creating masks.
