Hey, I'm trying to decipher between getting the 11'' air or the 13'' pro. I know that the pro has more in regards of size, ports, dvd+, but I do like the size of the 11'' air. However, since I'm on a website, where I get my information from about Mac products, the negative things that I have seen with the air, is their being an horizontal line on the screen due to too much pressure. The battery life I hear ranges from 2 to 5. So air book owners please tell me about your macbook airs. Im aiming to get the 11 inch, 4 gb, 128 air. However if I don't like the size (in person) I'll get the pro 13 inch.

My parents have 11" and 13" Air and I have 13" MacBook Pro.

What I can say is both are different for different purpose. You want portability and lightweight? get Air.

You want Power Power Power? get MacBook Pro.

I'm satisfied with my MacBook Pro 13". It's still very portable at that size.

Have you tried out both the Mac's? That is, have you actually touched the Air and the Pro?

It's good to do the online research and get opinions but you need to take them out for a test drive. :D

Macbook Air 11" 's storage is 125 gb SSD. MacBook 13's storage is 500 GB HDD. it s more storage than Macbook Air. I heard that next gen slim MacBook 15 and 17 like Air will include SDD only and no optical drive next year. I don't know about slim Macbook 13 or no more???

if you get Air - you will sacrifice performance and functionality (such as several ports, DVD slot) for extreme lightweight and portability.

still can't figure it out? then proceed ahead...

If you are the type who uses computer for simple stuff such as email, surf the net, chatting and/or carrying it around a lot, then Air is for you

If you are the type who barely carry around laptop and/or perform heavy stuff such as dozens of browsers, emailing, chatting, and watching video (all at same time)... then MacBook Pro is for you

I'm very happy with my MacBook Pro and my mom is very happy with Air. My dad is dissatisfied with Air and he wished he picked MacBook Pro. Tough luck

What? Air not macho enough for Dad? :giggle:

My sister has MacBook air. I dislike it because SDD (Solid State Drive) storage is not enough over 128 GB. I really like my MacBook 13. SDD is very good and faster but is expensive.

Macbook Air doesn't include a Flash Player. You can't use P3 and Z4 video callings.

I use Macbook for over 5 years and my hdd is 120 gb and it's 50% space free left.

Only porn freak or mp3 freak need big capacity.

:slap: Just download flash player from adobe and it was not hard to do it. My Macbook 13" dont come with flash player too. What's your point? Same idea Windows 7 don't come with flash player.

Got a proof?

You can play it around at apple store.

I really want Macbook Air 11" and easy for me to carry anywhere since my wife own Mackbook Air 13" for 4 years (3 years HDD then replaced SSD for 1 year) and she love it so much. Her Macbook Air 13" 1.8Ghz with SSD is pretty quick than mine Macbook 13" 2.2ghz with HDD for everything as boot up, quick open programs, etc. She use it a lot for M$ Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Z4 ZVRS, youtube, hulu, itunes, etc. She never complained about it so far.

Yes, I don't want Adobe Flash player for my MacBook 13 but video displays were blank on ooVoo and P3. They require Flash player.

just not enough oomph because he had lot of applications and web browsers running at same time. it lagged big time.

The airs dont come with flash but you can get download it. My old comp was a 2007, 2GB, and I can't recall the space from a 2007 model, but I wasn't full. I only browse the net, emails, forums, watch a video rarily. I am not a gamer. However I do make videos about once or twice every two weeks.

I can only speak for the MacBook Pro since that is what I have. It is extremely portable for its size. I'd rather have more power, than go smaller, personally.
