and I wonder why the Japanese and Austrilans gets some of the best games like Donkey Kong Country series and Super Mario World on Virtual Console while we, as americans, only gets non-nintendo games like sega genesis including dr. robotonik's mean bean machine and turobox's gunstar hero, etc...

last week there was only one nintendo game for the orginal nintendo and it was donkey kong jr sadly nobody likes that game anyway.

I dont know whats wrong with Nintendo of America...either they are on crack or that they dont give a damn of what games they give out on VC either way they are just wasting time.

I think we deserve the same treatment as the Japanese and Austrilans do when it comes that they have better games than we do...it's quite embrassassing that NoA only put in crappy games instead. The only good games on VC is Sega Genesis's Sonic the hedgehog and Nintendo64's Super Mario 64.

Now that it is monday and the VC is already updated, still no games from nintendo yet. way to go, nintendo.

The wave of old-school games continues to pile onto the Wii's Virtual Console. Nintendo today announced that four more games from the days of yesteryear are now available for purchase. Joining the ranks of Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, and Sonic the Hedgehog are one title from the Nintendo Entertainment System, a pair from the Sega Genesis, and one from the TurboGrafx-16.

Gamers who like their hockey 8-bit can now download Ice Hockey for 500 Wii points ($5). Originally released in 1988 for the NES, Ice Hockey features six national teams and three different weight classes of players, allowing coaches to go with a nimble lineup or a team of crushing bruisers.

Gunstar Heroes, which first appeared on the Sega Genesis in 1993, brings side-scrolling run-and-gun action to the Wii. Playing as one of the famed Gunstar twins, gamers will take on Colonel Red and a host of his minions in an attempt to foil his plans of destruction. Gunstar Heroes will set gamers back 800 Wii points ($8).

The curiously named Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, also originally a Genesis title, is a puzzle game featuring characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. Like the popular puzzle game Puyo Puyo, this game tasks gamers with matching four blocks of the same color and causing mayhem for opponents. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine costs 800 Wii points ($8).

Late last week, Hudson Entertainment dropped a few hints that a TurboGrafx-16 game would be making an appearance on the Virtual Console today. Based on clues, many suspected it would be Alien Crush...and they were right. Alien Crush was originally released in 1989 and sells for 600 Wii points ($6).

All four games can be purchased from the WIi Shop Channel. Nintendo plans to add new Virtual Console games each Monday.

I don't give an fuck about virtual console but I rather to play old SNES and N64 on PC with controller.

You can download from ROM website.

ROM website? It's illegal without a catridge, but let's get back on topic about Wii's Virtual Console. I don't want this topic to be closed if we talk about ROMs for playing games in PC.

I don't care about illegal or not but does not get lock up, also same as virtual games.

It don't matters about ROM or virtual console, I prefer with ROM.

I have no need to download the old VC games. I've still got my Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and Turbo Grafix. :thumb:

ROMs is illegal because most of scammers use them for profits like making cartridges then selling on ebay auctions or put all games in gaming devices like Power Player. They also affect sales of actual games. This is why Nintendo lose much of money from cartridges before change to disc formats. Same to illegal copies of softwares and movies thought the p2p softwares.

If you like good games from good companies like Halo or Zelda, please buy legal copies to support the companies for future games. If dont, you causing damages to their money.

I own all Nintendo consoles but it's hard for me to find cartridges though the stores except flea markets. Also I having problems with them, due to blue-screen flashing and save-losing accidents. I used own NES but it's broken and got game file erased from cartridge. It's worth to have classic games on Virtual Console to estimate the problems from past generation consoles.

How about modded console, such as someone will put mod in Wii or PS3 to allow to use copied disk to play games, also not know about BD since thay are copy protected, more strong than DVD does.

Would you take care of modded console then how about blame on ROM?

Because some people able to building the devices that copying the files from cartridges to hard drives. That is illegal. Same to DVD ripoff softwares which able to copy any discs to hard drive included PS1, PS2 and Xbox games too. I found many illegal copies of PS1 in media cds inside the garage but i dont want them.

Blu-ray discs are copy-protected? I did read the article on geeks did cracked the Blu-Ray copy protection by using Linux and PS3. Never underestimate the humans (us).

Yea, BD is copy protected but after you mentioned that cracked in BD then Sony or companies that make BD would gonna be upset and losing of funds. Now, I'm not surprised but firmware is required to update before play games on PS3 and does not want someone to put mod in PS3, also same with Wii and 360, after fall update. At once when BD is cracked in then need change new code in BD or find something to make hard to crack in.

I've heard about it.

But it's all related to hacking and if I even tried it, I dont want to fuck up my Wii.

eh...funny how it sounds when I say that.

Okay, is this about ROM issues or Virtual Console issues..? :wtf:

Ignore those guys rambling on about ROM since it has nothin to do with ROM. Thanks for going off topic, guys!

This is about virtual console online via Wii hardware.

Well--sorry. I just stated to get back on-topic about virtual console...

Well, Wii is released on launch day and its common that games are less to release on virtual console but until next year then would get more games on virtual console.

Nintendo working on getting classic games working with Virtual Console and Wii hardwares. It's like if porting game to all platforms. It's one of reasons Virtual Console dont start with full gaming library.

[Topic Off] Downloading roms is same as stealing three PS3 from gaming store. Sony lost thousands of dollars on stole PS3 parts. Businesses need money to keep them open and running. Same to gaming developers. End of ROMs flame posts.

Ok.. Let's get back to right topic.

Yea, that right...

then back to topic for me.

relax guys you fight over ROM either it is illegal or not. I created a thread about this a few weeks ago. Actually starting Nov 22th, Rom is now legal, you gohead and download any games as long as console, players, or euipment is dead. You cant download nintendo DS roms which is illegal because Nds heldhold is not dead YET. Clear for everyone?
