You can get good pictures. The key is to just keep shooting.

Professionals know that they have to take thousands of shots for that one outstanding picture. In the trade we call that "overshooting." With a digital camera it's not so wasteful as it used to be when a photographer would go thru rolls and rolls of film, paper and chemicals while going for the perfect shot. Now you can delete the unwanted shots with a click of the button.

Each time you see a gorgeous photo in a magazine remember there were probably several rejected proof sheets behind it.

Sure, some people get that once in a lifetime "lucky" shot but most memorable pictures take more than one attempt.

You can get a point and click automatic camera and get some great pictures. :)
