My friend and I have been discussing this during band camp last week. The band directors took the whole band out to see harry potter part 2 last tuesday. After watching it, I was wondering if people would call harry potter a Sci-fi movie or a fantasy movie as well as with twilight? My friend and I have no idea what to call this kind of movie.. any ideas?

Its not really a Scifi movie but more of an action fantasy film. Whatever the category, it was pretty awesome. I hate the fact that it had to end. :(

End??? I thought this was a documentary!

Fantasy, and it is not a documentary Cheetah. The movies are based on the book series by J.K Rowling.

Potter-mania will live on for those of us who love it!!

Fantasy. Falls in the same category as "The Neverending Story".

I know. I was being sarcastic/silly. :giggle: I enjoyed reading all of the books. I too am sad that it's finally over. It's fun to pretend, just for a moment, that there is this whole other world out there with magic, evil things to fight against, other ways of thinking, and whole other culture right under our noses. I think that is way so many people love the Harry Potter books and movies. Other movies like the Smerfs fall in this same category. It's a whole other world and it's fun to pretend that it just might be real.

Everytime I close my eyes, I enter another world, another realm. The places I've seen, the people I've known. You cannot imagine. I desire to return, I hunger for that place. You must pull me back, lest I fall victim to my own mind, never to return.
