Would you become Criminal if tornado or hurricane destroy everything
and you can't get insurance money and all?

Or if Government stopped SSI, food stamp, and welfare.

Or if jobs are declining and hard to find job.

And nobody would help you. And no shelters

If you become homeless today, would you sleep on the street and eat out of trashcan?

Or would you be a Criminal, stealing things to survive?

What if you have 2 children, would you let them move to foster homes?

Would you trust strangers taking care of your kids, because you are homeless?

well it isn't a stupid thread to me.

Because a few Victims from Katrina actually kicked down the door of few of the big houses in the rich neighborhood in Tennessee, close by Memphis..
Robbing and taking some things out of the houses.

And then nearby my neighborhood, few other Katrina victims robbed stores.

Show me the proof? Most of the criminals aren't only katrina and rita evacuees. Then don't blame us!

Imagine coming home from your long day to find your house wrecked and several of your things stolen. That is exactly what happened to at least 7 families Tuesday night. They all live in and around the Woodland Park subdivision in Lakeland.

Amy Dennison lives across the street from one victim.

"To know that it happened so close to me and I didn't hear or see anything. I'm shocked," Dennison says.

Investigators tell us there could still be more victims out there. They also say the crooks had a fairly easy time breaking into the homes. The burglars rang the door bell, and when no one answered, they broke into the front or back door and stole jewelry and money.

No arrests have been made.

The Eyewitness News Neighborhood Crime Tracker shows that before Tuesday, there were only two reports of home break-ins in Lakeland the last six months, two cases of vandalism and just three reports of stolen cars.

Memphis police responded to 33 home break-ins on Monday, and they say that's not unusual.

One neighborhood in the 38141 zipcode of Hickory Hill was hit twice. Two houses just feet apart were robbed in less than an hour.

Police say so far more than 1800 homes have been broken into in 2006. That's a 5% percent jump over this time last year.

Since February 1st, there have been 25 home burglaries and 40 car break-ins in Hickory Hill.
 
No excuse to be breaking in homes or stores or doing anything like that.

That is what churches are there for to help the poor and those in need.
 
Anybody can find themselves in a desperate situation and be forced to break the law to survive. However, I don't think most of us envision that happening. Therefore, I think it's an unlikely scenerio.
