Workers baked alive in bread factory horror

They died in 1998 yet it's just now coming to trial? yeesh.

The poor families of the two workers...:(

it causes many brits alot of problems something like this 'health and Safety should exist for but get daft things e,g men women making jam for sale could and is stopped another example last week school kids in some school stopped swimming classes..That act assumes we not any common sense drive people mad

Oh man...that's horrible. :(

Just an example of carelessness of the management teams to overwork people and to fix the equipment that breaks down. All the management think of is the profits and productivity than safety, a lot of industrial workplace have a safety committee that preaches safety and asks the employees the knowledge of safety questions. Its a easy way to blame employees who get injured at work and not get compensated for it.

I worked in a steel fabricating factory before, and we were preached to to report any issues that may cause harm, we could suggest safety features and all ( guards around a button, or an opening where a finger can get smashed) if they did a repair and used your idea we got a check for the preventative safety device installed. Being I worked with rebuilding, troubleshooting, designing and modifying machinery I knew what to look for and got a lot of them my first year there. I tried to get into their machine shop ( where Id rather be anyways) but there was a senority issue there as I was a newb... they would take a guy that had one day on me and knew nothing compared to my years of experience sadly.

isn't it common sense not to climb into a hot oven?

No, it is about rush to see sport event, that was soccer world torney that they don't want to miss... Money is not the primary issue here.

S_T_U_P_I_T_Y at best!

On the day of the tragedy in May 1998, Mr Erickson, of Walsall, admitted he wanted to get the job done quickly so he could go home and watch the FA Cup Final with his two sons.

i dont remmber this case or understand why so long to get to cout i guess the firm spent years getting legal case ready no doubt trying stop compensation to families..i not sure about time limitations
