I just thought this is interesting.....in the AARP website (for those 50 and older), there was a topic in their message board titled "Woodstock Envy". There are several that did go to the 1969 Woodstock, but others mentioned they did not go at the time. :)

I was born in November 1969 that year....the only reason I checked with AARP site is because of any news about hearing loss (since it is so common with older people). :)

What do you think about the 1969 Woodstock, and the latest Woodstock in the 1990s?

The 1994 and 1999 Woodstocks were jokes. Nothing more than using the name as a method for profit. Corporate greed. :thumbd:

I was 18 years old then but I was working full time, so I didn't go to Woodstock in 1969. Bummer. :(

I don't see any reason for the later "Woodstocks". Woodstock wasn't just a place, it was a one-time event in history that can't be duplicated. What's the point?

The point was money. It's because of the ridiculous prices and poor treatment of attendees that started the riots at Woodstock 1999.

For what it’s worth, I was only seven years old and living on the opposite coast. So no Woodstock for me, either. :( My only claims to 60’s coolness are that I actually did attend several large anti-Vietnam rallies in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and that my father knew Angela Davis personally. But dammit, I didn’t go to Woodstock and I never saw the Beatles, even though I’m old enough to have done both.
