Woman Marks 90th Birthday With Plane Jump

BALDWIN, Wis. - A Minnesota woman who wanted to match former President George H.W. Bush's birthday skydive marked her 90th birthday Sunday with an airplane jump of her own.

Aileen Fritsch jumped out of the plane attached to a skydiving instructor.

She said she decided to make the jump after seeing the 41st President skydive on his 80th birthday earlier this month. Fritsch said she's a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat and didn't want to let the Republican get ahead of her.

The jump and landing went just fine.

Fritsch said there wasn't anything to it — she just stepped out of the plane. "I haven't been afraid of anything so far in this world," she said.
 
wow, 90 years old...glad she made it alive...whew
 
I saw that on television recently. I think it was RealTV? This reminds me of Former President Bush doing that a couple weeks ago. :eek:
 
Kudos to this 90 year old lady who refuse to be defined by her age.

I'd love to get on a hot air balloon when I turn 40......

Laughed about the reason she skydived. :rofl:

I hope I will do something to mark special ocassion such as that. :)
 
whoa! whats up with these oldsters??? Bush Sr and now this 90 yr old lady doing jump off the planes! They probably took some kind of dope to be able to brave this! LOL! just kidding but thats great they have the nerve to do that!..I will never do that cuz i have had nightmares abut it in the past...no way, Jose!!!!

This woman is very BRAVE and lucky one. I bet she had a great life and waiting for the skydiving for a LONG time. She got her wishes come true.

Hell yea, I would try to jump off the bridge in a heart when I am 100 years old. I probably would jump and then died from heart attack when I land on the ground. :giggle:
