ROCKVILLE, Maryland — A Maryland woman has been indicted on charges of killing two adopted daughters and storing their bodies in her freezer.

State's Attorney John McCarthy says 43-year-old Renee Bowman will face murder and child abuse charges in the deaths of the two girls and abuse of her surviving daughter.

The case began in September 2008 when Bowman's 7-year-old daughter jumped out a window and was found in their Calvert County neighborhood.

The family lived in Montgomery County between 2005 and 2007. Investigators believe that's where Bowman killed the girls and that's where a grand jury indicted her on those charges.

The girls were adopted in the District of Columbia. Bowman continued collecting payments from a D.C. agency after their deaths.

Wow! I used to live in Rockville. This woman is sick and needs to be locked up forever or better yet, put in a freezer with the lock bolted!

Wow. I just find the idea of storing human remains with frozen food sickening. :barf: This lady should be locked up for the rest of her life.

UGH, I can only imagine what the surviving daughter has gone through. She's probably lost all trust in human beings by this point.

O_o;; Horrible...

Somehow, the link reminds me of Elizabeth Bathory.

There should be arrangements made for visits involving case workers to ensure that everything is alright. This could be done with the case worker making monthly visits to the house or the foster parents bringing the foster kids to visit the case worker.

Many case workers have very poor salary. I have a friend who used to work as a social worker for two years, and he wasn't happy about it. It was impossible for him to pay a house mortgage so now he has a different job with his accomplishment. He wasted three years of study in social worker at RIT.
