Hi Everyone! :)

I am hearing and currently I am working on my bachelors degree in sign language interpreting. One of the classes I am taking is: Technology and Interpreting.

One of our assignments is to perform research within the D/deaf/HOH community regarding technology. My lab partner and I have decided to research wireless (cell phone) providers and the D/deaf/HOH community.

Would you mind taking a minute to take this survey that asks different questions about wireless companies and the services they provide to the D/deaf/HOH Community?

The focus of the questions are on: connections, pricing, equipment, features, customer service, and coverage.

This survey is for people that are D/deaf/HOH only.

If you are hearing, please pass this on to your D/deaf/HOH friends. *smiles*

You can take the survey by clicking the link here:
Wireless Service Providers and the D/deaf/HOH community

We need to survey 20 people and so far we have only gotten two responses through people we know. We are trying to reach a broader audience by posting it here.

I hope I posted this in the right thread. Thank you everyone! :)

Thanks so much!!!! :)

EDIT:
If anyone is interested, I will be sure to post the results when I am done with the research.

Thank you guys SOOOO MUCH for your support!!! We have received 20 responses!!!! YAY!!!

I will post the research once we are done with it. It won't be until about the first week of December.

Once again, thank you so much for helping us with our research project. You guys ROCK!!!!

Special thanks to everyone who took the survey!

Attached, you will find the survey results. I found them to be very interesting!

I find it quite weird that despite being the most impatient when dealing with customers (and most patient), has the slowest internet connection, slowest text messaging, and worst coverage, T-Mobile is the favorite among the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Does this mean that you are willing to put up with such crappy technical difficulties simply because it has good Deaf-friendly service?
