Gas prices are ultimately having a cascading effect on inflation within the entire economy rising inflation too high of rate. Employers cannot raise all employees salaries equivalently to stablize economy; partially out of fear of market volatility and risk of future losses, as well as they simply cannot make so frequent "cost of living" rate increases as this would destroy their assets and bankrupt them, further fueling recession.![]()

In 2007: from DC to Moscow, Russia = $1,200 r/t (non-stop)
In 2008: from DC to Moscow, Russia = $1800 r/t (3 stops)
It does affect my travel plan, because I plan to fly there at end week of this month, but postponed to fall. If I go there this month, I spend more on flight ticket, and less spend in Russia. If I go to fall, I spend less on flight (hopefully ticket went down), and spend more in Russia.![]()

I saw thatDuring the last two weeks, I did a 500 mile road trip throughout Nevada and Arizona in 10 days and man it did put in a huge dent in my wallet :Ohno: but I am determined to continue with road trips this summer.
First one will be down to Los Angeles. Im not going to let gas prices ruin my dream of seeing Lakers play in championships! I pray that Lakers will beat Boston for my birthday gift! Nice way to forget that I will be turning 41
Other trips will be to the coast or mountains but I will give up my daily latte at Starbucks in order to afford these mini road trips![]()
