I don't get it?
I have the feeling it's the stress and anxiety. Just my hunch. I cannot prove it but that's my gut feeling (pun intended).
During my 20's and 30's I had severe chronic migraine headaches. Then one day they just stopped. The hives started in my late 20's. No one knows why.wow, so i guess you were stressed for your whole life to get acid reflux as you get older? But how would you explain Foxrac's case?
I never had problems with food before either.and btw, I love eating spicy food, ever since I was young...but I don't seem to have any problems with those spicy food?

love the title of this thread. A++++++++++++

Or grosser!"Old-tyme." I like that.
My grandfather once told me that in his youth, folk in Brooklyn used to crush roaches and mix them into water for headaches. Can't get old-tymer than that!![]()

To be really truefull I don't care if you are a liberal or a conservative. I do not think anyone should have whether the live or die decided by their bank balance!
True. I considered myself a healthy person when I was young. Running road races every week, bicycling, cross training, rarely sick, no meds needed, etc. Then the old bod started breaking down. Pa-tooey!Ahhh, the innocence of youth. Wait till you get older.![]()
Certainly an eye-catching title for a thread. Then I start to read: acid reflux....college financial aid....military corruption....global warming....![]()
My point is that there are people out here being destroyed by medical debt, and the Republican are more concerned about a deficit than them.
Sorry to hear about your health.
However, the way Obamacare has been written needs to be repealed. We do not have a healthcare crisis in America, we have a healthcare COST crisis.
Healthcare should be affordable and should not be mandatory to participate. In other words, you should not be *required* to have health insurance or face imprisonment (such as Obamacare is written).
After all, America is about freedom, not requirements.
2 choices -
1. unaffordable and not mandatory
2. affordable and mandatory
which?
3. Affordable and not mandatory
Yes, a positive attitude, like your mom has, is very important. Good for her! It's funny - my mom said she doesn't understand why her friends her age (she's 62) complain about health problems while she feels better and happier than ever in her entire life despite being morbidly obese and having ankle implant. Lucky her. I hope she continues her happiness for the rest of her life.

Ironically, I'm more "perky" and active than most of the students at the college.![]()

You mean you won't work with me on my next project? I need some help when I pave the addition to our driveway this winter.hahaha she's defintiely MORE perky than me.. if I work with her in gardening, I quit in one hour because it's so much work but she'll continue for three more hours. She has three jobs and they demand a lot of labor... I don't like labor work. lol
Ewww...I know what you mean.Yep. :P I have mild reflux.
Spicy food won't cause reflux for me but greasy foods certainly will do it for me. ot only that, it will cause problem with my bowels as well. If I eat high fat foods for days on end, I will end up with a severe case of diarrhea. So will dairy based foods.
If I eat too much, it will also cause reflux for me as well. I hate having it go up thru my nose while I'm asleep.
