THIS DEDICATE TO T-MOBILE
sidekickiimrcartoonedition0ny.jpg

Today, I personally purcahsed the sidekick II Cartoon edition which dedicate to T-mobile because tmo runs my sidekick service and Member Since: 10/30/2001 and I want to saying thank the tmobile for keep sidekick business and service still running and improvment!

I am still loyal to t-moble since 2001, and what about you, how long you been member for tmobile?

Notice: Warning, If you purchased the cartoon edition, RETURN OR EXCHANGES ARE NOT ACCPETED by t mobile retail store! Plus- if you've to do a warranty on insurance claim- they may send you standard sidekick II, not LE SKII.. that is your risk!

I'm not "dedicated" to T-Mobile. Just because I have a Sidekick II doesn't mean I'm "dedicated" to T-Mobile. I have a friend who has a Sidekick and it's through another company, not T-Mobile.

If they came out with a better mobile device for the deaf at a good price, then I'd probably go for that if I like it. I know some people who are so dedicated to something that they refuse to listen to anything else that happens.

For instance, I have a friend who is so dedicated to Microsoft that he will support Microsoft in any way... no matter what. When Google developed their own map section, I thought it was a big improvement over MapQuest. However, GoogleMaps doesn't work well on my computer since it's old and slow. Yet, it works beautifully on another computer. Microsoft later released their own map section with a couple small features that GoogleMaps deosn't have. (One of them is to zoom in and out using the wheel on the mouse. ) However, it's not perfected and is still a lot slower than GoogleMaps is. I still like GoogleMaps cuz it gives me what I WANT and makes me more satisfied than Microsoft's new map section does. However, my friend is like... "MapQuest and GoogleMaps suck! Go for Microsoft!"

What kind of company does your friend hooked up with? My friend's family-friend is trying to hook up another cellphone but a Sidekick II for him on her contract so it will be better for him to use in case of emergency. She can't leave the cingular company although, it has SIM thingie. I don't know if it will work with the Sidekick II. <sigh>

I'm a T-Mobile customer, but I wouldn't say I'm that loyal. Since the Sidekick 2 is only offered through service with T-Mobile, I don't have much of a choice. I have no complaints about service. If I find some new toy with another provider that I just have to have, I'll probably drop T-Mobile.

But fow now, perfectly fine with me. I do have to compliment their customer service. It is top notch.

I had been with tmobile since aug of 2003 ;) first started out with sidekick I then it broke on me but I had to wait til sk2 comes out then I got one.. I love it so much cuz I can be online while i am on GO! ;) cuz some friends i know never get on if I had to wait for them to come online that wud be like waste of my time so I basically go and do whatever I want til some1 bugs me to let me know where to meet and etc.. I should say tmobile is my lifesaver... cuz comparing to wyndtell  it was JUST emails sheesh.. but now I'm glad I got tmobile pager cuz I can be on AIM and send some txt messages to friends for free.. and emails.. and surf thru www :D

FYI Tmobile do NOT own SideK!ck! I know many people thought Tmobile owns it. In reality, Tmobile became exclusive wireless carrier provider contract with Danger, Inc. As you see, Danger, Inc is the one who owns Sidek!ck, not Tmobile. Don't believe me? Go ahead check www.danger.com There is info in there. Same principle with Blackberry. These two companies are independent and have contracts with wireless carrier. Any other wireless devices usually owns by Tmobile, or any wireless carriers. But for Tmobile, you could move simcard to any wireless device with exception of Blackberry and Sidek!ck! What does that means? It means that you can NOT use Sim card from Sidek!ck to another Tmobile device! But if you have Tmobile device like a nokia phone and decide to transfer simcard to LG phone, can do that without contact Tmobile. That is because Tmobile don't have any contracts with these phone makers, they just bought it and sold to you.
This is clarification for you that Tmobile do NOT own SideK!ck, but just exclusive contractor as wireless provider service PERIOD.

I don't remember. I think it was Suncom.

You can only get support through companies that sponsor Danger Inc.

You're right. A lot of people have that kind of assumption that T-Mobile own Sidekick. That's the biggest clue/error for those Sidekick III photos. Heh!

Yup, whats more, there is not even one Tmobile logo imprinted on the SK unit itself! You will find the name of brand and technology developed by whoever on back of the LCD screen! Its right there! I don't know why people kept assume that Tmobile owns it! If Tmobile truly owns the SK, there will sure have Tmobile logo imprinted on the device itself. When you boot up, of course Tmobile logo pops up on the screen, that is because they provide the wireless service, THAT IS ALL! The SK server which controls the features in the SK is actually in the property owned by Danger, Inc. NOT Tmobile.

Same concept here, AOL owns the system that AOLsuckers logged in(As if its Danger, Inc.). But who provides the connectivity? It is your phone company or broadband provider (as if Tmobile), either way. But your phone company, nor broadband provider don't own the AOL.

If you must know wheather SKIII will ever come out, contact Danger, Inc. NOT Tmobile dealer! Then you can get straightforward answer. SKIII will NOT come out anytime soon! Trust me, it is all gossip. And I know it! Sorry, I have to roll my eyes up!

I am sorry but Tmobile sucks!!! I have been with Tmobile for the last 6 months and have had nothing but trouble with them.

The original contract stated I would pay a total of 65 dollars a month for service including unlimited text messaging.

So far every month for the past 6 months I have paid over a 100 dollars every month. I call and fight with them every single month and it is still going on.

I believe anyone who goes through TMobile needs to rethink that.

I have documented proof of how much I have been paying and the original contract.

On Monday I am contacting a lawyer to see if I can SUE.

I am very fed up with TMobile and I strongly believe they are a scam company.

Right now it is gonna cost me 164.55 to pay my bill off due to those jerks saying that text messaging unlimited was just added in November which is not true. I have had it for 5 full months now. So they are charging me for all text messages at 5 cents a message and 15 cents for some other so called messages.

So all in all I have so far paid Tmobile over 700 dollars when in reality I should only have paid a total of 350 dollars. Can anyone say SCAM?

Its outrageous! I seriously urge anyone considering TMobile or who already has it to think about using another company.

I am going to check to see if there have been any other complaints like mine against TMobile and if there is I will post them here if you wish!

Alex, I read the rules and didnt see anything about a post like this but if it is truly against the rules you can delete it. And I wanna apologize in advance if I did indeed break a rule. I did not mean to.

That's just my Tmobile horror story. I have to pay 164.55+200.00 to buy out the contract which I will be doing so.

For those who have had a good history with Tmobile I would like to say good for you! But also good luck in the future! I do not mean to upset anyone with my post especially those loyal to Tmobile.

Just remember there are always a good story and a bad story about a company. I would love to know if there is more like me?

I am sorry, but I have used text message ALOT! I didn't pay a penny more for the text messaging. Perhaps your picking wrong plan, as you said 65 dollars a month, that sounds pretty much "Adds on plans" which generally have limit on text message you could use. But if you had opt for $29.95 a month for just data, and pay 20 cents a minute on phone calls and not using phones at all then you wouldn't be paying as much as I am. That $29.95 a month data only plan is all I know that offers unlimited text messaging. Also, again it depends on which device your using. Some device, especially blackberry don't have unlimited Text message like Sidek!ck does on data only plans.

T-Mobile networking, is alright. Just wish more expand the roaming/range. I know sidekick isn't own by T-mobile but under networking of their. I been had Sidekick for those years. Consider to use other networking, prolly Verizon. It would be nice if Sidekick has others choices of networking than just T-mobile. Since all them can be use SIM card. Thats only T-mobile can provide so far.

I agree with you, their coverage is alrighty. There is almost zero coverage at my work which really disappoints me and making me considering switching carrier. The only problem with SK is that Danger, Inc. granted exclusive rights to Tmobile as wireless carrier. I bet it has to do with contract agreement between Tmo and Danger, Inc.. Sometimes contract agreement prohibits from one to provide another contract agreement with other parties. I really don't know the details between Tmo and Danger, Inc. But that is what it seems so.

I never said or implied this. Only that service for the Sidekick 2 is available ony through T-Mobile.

i understand about that situation, Diehard.. only thing i hate about Tmobile, some areas which is not working even nearby very strong range. It make me fed up. But don't understand why T mobile didn't do add roaming on Sidekick, if range isn't working? I still think its totally unfair with other regular celluphone have. Even it don't have antanne either?!?!? urgh..

Hmmm....I'll check around for more. His mom's friend needs some help getting Cingular to work with the Sidekick II pager. <sigh> Thanks, VamPyroX

Again, in America Tmobile is EXCLUSIVE carrier for Danger, Inc Hiptop Sidekick! Exclusive means ONLY ONE, NOBODY ELSE!!! Cingular is NOT authorized to provide wireless service to SK!

Are you sure you picked the right plan? A friend of mine wanted to get a cell phone through T-Mobile. They poster they had wasn't clear... so I asked them personally. They explained that it applies only to specific devices and specific plans. Some mobile devices have wallpapers that you can change. Some don't. Some have games. Some don't. One thing about text messages is that they don't just count what you send out. They also count what you receive. So, if you think you didn't use much... it was probably doubled because of the receiving messages you got.

I've had a few friends who blame their phone company for the problems they have, but won't admit that they are at fault for sharing their phones with their friends.
