If you really have to know...
Shirley Temple is Cherry 7*Up with cherry.
Roy Rogers is Cherry Coke with cherry.
These drinks are known as "kiddie cocktails" since they don't contain alcohol.
The Shirley Temple was created at an adult celebrity party that the little girl named Shirley Temple attended. Since she was little, she couldn't have alcohol and felt left out. So, the bartender offered to make a drink and name it after her. She rejected because she was a kid and could not make money off of it. They went ahead years later and it became popular.
Roy Rogers was named after an actor named Roy Rogers. This drink is also known as Darth Vader or Black Shirley Temple.
I learned about Shirley Temple years ago when I went to Applebee's. I asked what drink they had and they mentioned 7*Up. I asked if they could add cherry to it and they said, "Oh, a Shirley Temple? Sure!" I was confused for a moment until I learned what it actually meant.
A few weeks ago, I was eating at a local Dave & Buster's. I normally order Cherry Coke. One day, I got the check and noticed that it had my meal and "Roy Rogers". I was like, eh? I looked it up on my Sidekick and found out what it meant.
So, that's two drinks that that you all might enjoy.
