my daughter is 6years old and HOH, just got diagnosed this week. her loss is progressive and may or may not get worse.
shes only at "moderate" loss now, so she can hear if shes yelled to, so communicating is getting difficult. i want to offer her another option. As of right now her audi didnt recommend hearing aids but im working on getting a second opinion.
whats the best way for us to learn to sign proficiently enough for conversation? we know simple signs mom, dad, help, more, hungry, play. not many sentences "my name is courtney nice to meet you" kinda stuff.
