Yeah, well. As for next year, if they ask me again, I'll probably be bringing a tent and air mattress if they wanna try THAT again.... don't need the mental images I'm already scarred with, thanks.
 
Not what they were doing. They were doing something that most of us here would rather not witness nor feel in any way.

Just kind of like when you tell someone "don't say anything about it" and they reply with "about what?" Exactly, about what. :P

Hmm. I still need a better understanding of certian deaf phrases, because I grew up in a hearing world for 16 yrs, and I haven't seen everything, so I saw that just a little differently than you did.
 
:laugh2: that's not a Deaf expression my friend, that's an everyone expression. Hearing friends of mine say that too. :laugh2: Some people can mean different things than others by saying the same exact words. Every person and their personality will be different. Hearing or Deaf, you may have one person say "Oh yes, I love crayons" and the other say "Oh yes, I love crayons." The point being, person A could have meant he really loves crayons... a LOT! Person B could have meant they really hate crayons simply with the use of sarcasm. Every person is different, sometimes you just have to get used to those peoples senses of humor and not worry so much about stepping on toes. If you really didn't mean to upset someone who got upset, simply explain yourself and clear it up, no big deal. :) That's all you can do. I still interpret people right in front of my face incorrectly all the time! Stuff happens. :P
 
Yeah, it does, but I don't like upset people-- I want people to enjoy posting on what I put up, and sometimes I do wonder if anything I've posted so far has upset someone, but I'm not likely to know that, even though I take criticisms quite well, and I'm not interested in retaliation, and would like to know if maybe something I said upset someone? I may be new, but I've learned to handle being criticized quite well.
 
Oh my friend... you have much to learn. You will ALWAYS offend someone with something you post... especially on this site. :laugh2: ALWAYS! There will always be someone who gets all pi**y over what you post. :D Sometimes they'll say something back, and other times they won't. I'm telling you now... ESPECIALLY on this site... People have VERY different and VERY strong opinions on things... You can't possibly please both sides, and you won't. Better to stand next to your convictions and be who you are than to tip toe trying not to upset anyone. Take the topic of a C.I. Oh dear lord will you start a wild fire of pi**ed off in 60 seconds with your opinion... whatever it is. You can TRY to stay neutral, but some how and some way you're opinion will be twisted and warped faster than a teenage girls favorite crush. All you can do again is stand by your convictions and not worry about what others think... because you'll be you and that's what matters. :) Can't please everyone, you're always going to burn someones buns. :P
 
And that's why I don't comment on some of these, cause I KNOW I'll start a wildfire of upset people, and in order to keep myself honest, if I can't keep my opinions clean, don't say anything.
 
:laugh2: I used to be like that.... now I just don't care who's day I s**t on. :D If someone doesn't like my opinion that's their right... If I don't like someones, that's my right. However, I never let anything anyone says ruin or poo on my day. Someone will always have a different opinion somewhere. :P
 
That may be true for you, but I like to stay honest.... unless an intervention is necessary, of course.
 
I never said I didn't stay honest... I'm always honest, sometimes too honest. I just don't let others opinions or honesty poo on my day is all I was saying. :P
 
I hear ya. I'm the same way in person-- just not on-line, cause I don't want something I said to come back and haunt me someday. My on-line personality and in-person personality are not the same-- I'm a lot tougher in person, and sometimes an a-hole, but here? I try to be a teddy bear and be friendly and easygoing.
