What should I look out for with this motorcycle?

It's good to see someone all excited and gung-ho about a newly-purchased bike. :)
But one thing, though: does it even run??? You made no mention!

In his original post, he said it "still runs well......". Hahah, even I made mention somewhere along the way that I hope it runs well, considering all the cosmetic work he's about to do...lol

I had a deaf friend who bought a car through eBay and made the payment. And they disappeared. No car and out $$ hope yours goes through ..

Have u purchased a bike before? I always get the vin # and check online if its registered .. or stolen. Etc. A late registered bike can go up to 300-and up at DMV.

He's pretty experienced, having had a number of bikes in the past.....

I used to sell cars for Toyota. Made $1,200 in a single afternoon.

(ps - I hated the job and will never do it again).

Was it due to the high pressure to sell and blow raspberries up customers butt to buy? I love to visit dealerships to look at the cars but hate pressure from salesmen. Viola I search new bikes and cars on the web instead and have had good and bad experience with Craigslist.com.. hence my concern if u were experienced.. so ur a pro. :D

It was a high pressure, high dollar and high paying job for 12 hours a day 7 days a week.

The only plus side was I learned how to negotiate - we did not coddle customers, we threw them out if they developed an attitude in "our house". We were not there to accomodate customers. If they wanted a blue car, and there wasn't one - they got what we had available or they could leave (they would usually come back in a few days and take it after blowing steam). We had access to every single new Toyota in the whole southeast.

I only had one customer that made rude remarks about me being HoH - but the sales managers went out of there way to needle me about it and demoralize me.
