I got this from my primary email and is this normal?? cuz i've never seen it before..

I got the same email.. last week.. I deleted it.. and forgot to report Mods.. Oh well.. :roll: just ignore .. just like scam.. heh
 
I guess I need to report it to the MODS...

ahhh, it was in your yahoo e-mail...not sure if Alldeaf is responsible for that action since it went to your yahoo and didn't go to the PM land.
 
I see the problem, You have allowing members to send you emails, go to option panel control button, and change ur option to send email by the Administrators team only not by members. Alex is not responsible if you allowing others to email you, It's your responsible to check it to private. Nobody sends me emails because I only put a check on Administrators only allowing to send me emails. ;)

ohhh okay! Thanks, Cheri.. that helps.. I didn't realize I had it open to the members and Administrators.. I'm gonna go check...
 
I got it.. yep it was checked in both boxes that I allowed other AD members and Administrators to see my email address. I unchecked one.. left it open to the Admin. Thank you all for the help!

You're welcome, :hug: I did that at another forum too myself, I didn't realized I put a check on both groupies, until I received a few spams about seeking for a date. Desperate people!
 
alright.. Well, this thread can be locked unless want to keep it open to let other members know about this.

I bet you guys don't realize this, but many of these "relationship" spams are actually scams.

Look at what this guy is asking for:

"Serious relationship"
"carin" (sic)
"lovin" (sic)
"trustworthy"
"open minded" (sic)
"faithfull to sincerel" (sic)

He's looking for a sucker to give him money in the name of "love." Someone who wants to be loved will be strung along to give him money to help pay for the flight over, and then keeps finding reasons not to be able to come. I GUARANTEE it.

You hit the nail in the head. That is exactly what they do. They pull this shit all the time thru relay.

Follow the yellow brick road long enough, and you'll find out you're in love with a Nigerian.
 
ahhh same as mine one guy was email in my hotmail and yahoo i was ahhhh but there have two private email address in the private message

you will see said

Email:
Send a message via email to ________________

Private Message:
Send a private message to ______________


I think!!!!! maybe I am wrong! hehe *shrugs* :dunno:
 
Deaf Monkey, Everyone's profile shows that, but that doesn't mean they can get to your email, You have to go to panel control, then go to edit options scroll down to this: {From time to time, the administrators may want to send you email notices. If you do not want to receive these notices, disable this option.}

[]Receive Email from Administrators
[]You can allow other members to send you email messages. Receive Email from Other Members

put a check in box for Receive Email from Administrators, no check in box for receive email from other members. That way you will only receive emails from the Administrators team only not members. I hope this clear things up for you. :thumb:
