Do you have anything that you wear to help with your hearing?

I wear two digital aids ( win 112 btes from Bernafon).
I'm on borderline and I may think of getting a CI if digitals don't offer me enough speech perception. We'll see .

i wear HA.. made by rexton.. but soon will try a digital hearing aid called a SUMO and the company that makes it is Oticon. it will be on a trial basis to see if i DO benefit from that. If I don't then I will go ahead and get CI then :)

SUMO is great for severe-profound hearing loss when people have residual hearing and some people got no benefit. I hope that you will get benefit with SUMO and its powerful HA.

i am looking for fund or donate to get me new hearing aid. i can't afford one?

Celia told me that I can speak and hear in future. It seems that I am student at college. I feel like I need to hear!

but u dont know what kind of loss u have? audiologist will test your hearing and will decide which one to use for you that match your loss level. u cant just decide i want that one. i think it will help me? i didnt DECIDE which hearing aid I WANTED. they choose for me. just like bernafon or rexton id idnt choose.. they choose for me as they think it will benefit for me. but rexton dont benefit me anymore cuz of my fluctacting hearing .. so wait and see if the digital hearing aid will work for me.. im not sure cuz it will go away then come back?? sometimes it sound like under water?? depend on my middle ear functions.. grrr.. i hate it.. :(

thats what they told me.. but they dont know if it will benefit me or not cuz many times my hearing go away.. then come back.. or sound like its under water muffled?? sometimes it is clear?? thats why its called fluctacting.. they said i might lose my hearing completely 100% like my left ear is.. 100% deaf now.. so who knows .... thats why i want ci so i can continue to be able to hear clear rather than go away then come back or sound like muffled? i hate it! its really annoying?? sometimes i am in mood to listen to music i cant?? cuz it doesnt sound clear? :(

I currently wear widex Senso Diva 9m. My hearing has gotten worse so I will be trying some new digital aids (power models). I hope I can find hearing aids that work for me.I am not going to spend another $5,000 to $6,000 if they don't.

My audiologist referred me for a Cochlear Implant Evaluation so we will see what happens with that.

I wear a SUMO E behind the ear aid for right ear. :D Nothing in my left ear since this ear is unaidable according to audiologists, so this one may be eligible for a CI...will find out later in future. :)

Well, Just go check out at ENT in your area and doctor can find out what happen with ears.

I will go to ENT in November.

If my parent's insurance is disapproval to re-implant then I will ahead to get SUMO and call VR to take some associate with me, also audioglist offers me about $3,000 for both of ears and $100 for molds on both of ears too. I need new digital HA for job, college and other place.

BTE ... external hearing aids Sumo DM Oticon -- wow powerful. .. not "internal hearing aids" (CI) lol

My audio offered my oticon SUMO vs the new Synchro II P. She said they are both for severe/profound hearing loss. One exception is the Synchro is much more costly. I tried both and the Synchro was a little better in my opinion. Had to use most of my savings to cover it though:pissed: Now in my opinion - the benifit was significant enough for me that I am pleased with the investment, but we're completely broke now.
