What did you do today? Part II

,Oh how I miss DC! I met up with TWA, his girlfriend, and Deafskeptic in DC. We chatted ans chatted for hours. Walked a lot today and my legs are soore! :)

I am so not passing this opportunity twice!!!! Damn, just damn!!! I'm glad you all had a good time.
 
Well - I spent a lot of time in my car. Let's see, took hubby and filled out yet another job application since the employment agency lost the other one. Then had to take MIL and hubby to the Clerk of the Circuit Courts and file the Quitclaim Deed to put our name on the garage lot. From there, we went to the Town Hall and dropped off the Building Permit application and paperwork. Then we went to tag office and turned in the tag for her car that she sold. After that, we went to the Post Office to attempt to do the address change and found we have to go to Planning and Zoning first and bring that paperwork to the Post Office. Got home and read a book. Sat in the wrong chair and now I can't walk. Got dinner made using a rolling stool. It's 2 hours later and I still have not been able to walk. Think I may have to contact doctor again. Bummer!!! Will wait and see what it looks like tomorrow.
 
The cold weather here for the past 2 days seems to have given me the "blues".....I plan to go out tomorrow, tho'.
 
Went to the grocery to buy salad materials, and we found that Bugles corn snacks now come in Caramel.

Really good. :)
 
Just loving how everything feels so settled here. There's been a lot of changes in my life over the past 2 years, and today, i told the honey how happy I feel.
 
Oh!!!! One more thing I did today. In between doing hubby's job application and leaving with MIL and hubby for all the running, contractor was here. He was dropping off the first load of supplies for the house. We talked about where to put the mailbox during construction and then son and hubby helped him unload concrete blocks and these HEAVY concrete long channel thingys that go above and below the windows and above the door. It basically stabilizes the concrete block or something like that.
 
it is lots of pretty rest I am work on break :lol: I was heavy on work busy! break busy I am lots of pretty heavy reading! it is very work out!
 
Able to walk today and doctor says I was over-doing it.

Today, I saw doctor, went to 2 banks (mine and MIL's), went to WalGreens and WalMart then home. Had to go back to WalMart and am now home again. Just chillin' and restin'.
 
i go to mall bought new pant and shirt. also i gotten brown leather boots. then i go eat restaurant and shopping in health food store. wow it is expensive but i bought healthy food myself.
 
I did something I havent done in 20 yrs, 5 miles of runnin tonite. I feel so good and relaxin. :)
 
i did this today.....tmw if its not raining, id fill it in with stones, and in more places with dirt on top...only the 'channels' will have stones on tubes, the actual hole is a soakpit, it will have a 500x500 slab sit on top of the 2 bricks (had it sorted)..then dirt on top...the concrete slabs is for stability of the grounds and to protect the tubes/bucket for collapse..and the cobblestone bricks arent staying there its going to be my 'border' between lawn and paved area....its just there for now to 'train' the tubes to align and stay there till i fill it with stones then dirt/grass on top.

I thought that you were making a fish pond. Gee! It was too close what I was hoping to bring it up. I see that it's for draining the water. It looks a good idea. How deep it is? Does it have underground water?

I think that it is a great idea for people who have a horse farm. I have seen many horse farms that have a lot of mud in the spring time.

Actually, I have some water that comes in my basement in the winter once a while. It was a nightmare for me ...the flood was two inches half way in the basement. My backdoor in the basement, the foundation is too low. I have thought about the drainer, but I don't know much about it. I didn't want to end up like 10,000 dollars for this project.

For example, my small back porch (16 ft x 9 ft) has a long crack and the company said that it cost 30,000 dollars to replace the whole cement floor. The contractor is probably fraud. Of course, I didn't hire him to do it. I would think that it cost between 2 to 4 thousand dollars which seems proper to me.

yup its bullshit, but ridding rubbish can and does get expensive, but Nothing lke thousands, more like a hundred or a couples if it alot....but most people would re-use it smash it up, bury it , like for example the soak pit im making or make it rubbles useful as 'stones' for drainage in garden pots or vege boxes..
 
I went for a short walk with my wife. During the walk, I saw a man mowing his lawn.
