I thought that you were making a fish pond.  Gee!  It was too close what I was hoping to bring it up.   I see that it's for draining the water.  It looks a good idea.  How deep it is?  Does it have underground water?  
I think that it is a great idea for people who have a horse farm.  I have seen many horse farms that have a lot of mud in the spring time.
Actually, I have some water that comes in my basement in the winter once a while.  It was a nightmare for me ...the flood was two inches half way in the basement.  My backdoor in the basement, the foundation is too low.  I have thought about the drainer, but I don't know much about it.  I didn't want to end up like 10,000 dollars for this project.  
For example, my small back porch (16 ft x 9 ft) has a long crack and the company said that it cost 30,000 dollars to replace the whole cement floor.  The contractor is probably fraud.  Of course, I didn't hire him to do it.  I would think that it cost between 2 to 4 thousand dollars which seems proper to me.
