His Excellency George Washington by Joseph J. Ellis
Update:

Finished George Washington; highly recommend the book. :)

Finished Sinbad of the Coast Guard by Chief George F. Foley Jr.; excellent book, true story, good for kids.

Currently: Give Me A Break by John Stossel; very informative about consumer issues and the media.

I would recommend ALL of AD'ers to pick this book, The Handmaid's Tale. It is a-must-read book. Whatever horror movies that scared you during night is nothing when compare to this book. Trust me. It is even scarier than George Orwell's 1984.[/QUOTE]

davinci code
digital fortress
deception point
angels and demons

ready lovely bones in one day it was so good i wouldn't put it down

currently reading the historian by Elizabeth Kostova

I just finished Rebuilt: How Becoming Part Computer Made me More Human by Michael Chorost. I'm working on The Working Poor by David Shipler and Wanderlust: A History of Walking by Rebecca Solnit.

I'm currently reading "The Path to Power" by Robert A. Caro. It is a biography about former president Lyndon B. Johnson in his early years to when he was a congressman.

I just read Caro's book "Master of the Senate". This is when LBJ was a senator and how he molded it to fit his needs which was an incredible feat in of itself. The book is the best I ever read explaining the workings of the senate too.

I will say this, Caro brings out the real LBJ as a man who was ruthless and would do anything to become president.

Speaking of politics, has anyone read Profiles in Courage? For those who don't know about the book, you may be surprised by the name of the author. Just look up the title at Amazon. Quite a phenomenal book, I'm guessing. I would like to read it, but my book queue is a mile tall and I have no time! :(
